Lovely hosts, wonderful retreat, quiet, peaceful, connected with nature, beautiful forest, nice walks and hikes. We did self-catering and enjoyed the company of the other guests and the hosts during the meals. We will definitively go back.

Namizimu Forest Retreat is not something you would easily find in this region of Africa. It is special and not the usual touristic location one would expect - it is amidst a beautiful forest reserve with a stunning view at Lake Malawi. Even though it...More

Apologies for my delay in answering your questions; Namizimu Forest Retreat is 20km from Mangochi Boma. Self catering costs US$80/adult/night and the full board option costs US$150/adult/night. There needs to be a minimum of 8 adults in order to stay at Namizimu Forest Retreat, however, we do have a lake camp - which will be opening on the 1st of May - that is cheaper and available to both individuals and large groups. All of the activities that have been popular at Namizimu can be accessed from our Lake Camp; and we can also provide boat and river trips. Please feel free to call me on 0997225300 if you have any further questions.
