My husband and I visited Ngala Beach Lodge over a Bank Holiday weekend with a friend. Welcomed by Sandi and Chris to this beautiful place....easy to find, 3.5 hour drive from Lilongwe. Very peaceful and restful. I slept in til 8.30am it was so quiet. The views are spectacular, staff very well trained and the meals were delicious. Lovely fresh...

We stayed her for three days as part of a Nomad tour. The rooms are very large with plenty of height, very clean and well furnished. The lodge is set in extensive gardens, has a swimming pool and a good beach front on the lake. There is a very nice camping area under trees at the back of the beach.Water...

In the unique watery world of Lake Malawi, I discovered an oasis of lush calm within a three- hour drive of Malawi’s capital city, Lilongwe. Ngala Beach lodge, where relaxation is a by-product of the owners’ Chris and Sandy’s laid-back approach, is set amongst beautiful tropical trees and plants right on the shores of the lake. I stayed in a...

Stayed here only one night, unfortunately! The manager Kevin is such a good guy and taking super good care of the guests. The owners are always around and will help with any problem. All my questions about Malawi were answered :) wish we could have stayed longer... but Nomad made up some excuses why we couldn't stay any longer. The...

We are traveling around Africa on a motorbike tour and stayed there for two nights. Our chalet is spacious with thatched roof facing the lake. Sandra and Chris are great hosts and very helpful. Overall we enjoyed the setting and food and Sandra's laughter.

We stayed here as a family of five (2 adults, 3 children 13,10,8) in August for two nights and had an amazing time. Sandi and Chris are great hosts and made us feel extremely welcome, going out of their way to ensure we were happy. The accommodation is very clean and the locally made decor is beautiful and tasteful. We...

Stayed one night here on an overland tour, and absolutely loved it. It such a beautiful place with great rooms, great facilities, an appealing bar and a fantastic host. Also loved the resident dogs, they were fantastic company. The beach next to the lake is a stunning place to sit during the day and even better at sunset. I would...

We only stayed here for a night on an over lander trip but if you are looking for a romantic place to stay in malawi I highly recommend this place. We stayed in tents (with a great view!) but we heard the rooms were great and the bar area is very nice. There are lots of activities you can book...

On of my favorite lodges in Africa. The rooms are beautiful, excellent showers & linens. Enjoying a drink at the infinity pool at sunset. Getting to watch the fishermen in the morning. The grounds are beautiful and lots of fun activities to choose from or simply to relax on the beach. Lovely Couple who runs the lodge.

I stayed at Ngala Lodge during a 30 day Nomad Tour - of the 16 or so different sites we stayed at during the tour this was one of my absolute favourites. Stunning views, friendly staff, beautiful rooms (which are entirely netted so no bugs, lizards etc). My only complaint was that the time we had there was too short....
