We picked Aqua Africa simply because it is right next to where the ferry docks and all the other places recommended in the guide books are a bit of a hike away. We did walk out to the other places for lunch on a couple of days and they all seemed to have pluses and minuses compared with Aqua Africa...

Closer to the town / port than Myoka or Butterfly. Aqua Africa is principally a dive centre that has 4 rooms. It's good value and because it's so small you're made to feel like one of the family. The fresh water diving is quite unique and definitely recommend. Many thanks to owner Debra who was a great help to us.

Diving in Lake Malawi has been on my Bucket List for 30 years, since starting to raise cichlids in aquariums. I was not disappointed in my visit to the Lake and to Aqua Africa. The dive operation was well run. Staff was professional. They even went out of their way to assist a traveling companion that hadn’t dived in over...

Holly, Debra, Craig and Matt your a great "family". I didn't thought that I would stay so long in Nkhata Bay but you gave me such a good time that I wish I would have stayed even longer. Thaks to all of you for the super nice diving experience, the great food and funny evenings we had. And don't think...

We came in on the Lamani from Likoma Island. We walked just steps to the Aqua Africa Lodge, which hugs a hillside. If we were spending more time in Nkhata (and we wish we did), we would have taken advantage of the diving. We were warming received by the owners. The room was good and had a wonderful view of...

My daughter and I had an amazing Discovery Dive with Holly. She took us through the skills and guided us through the most amazing dive. We both felt completely at ease with Holly as Dive Master. It was a fantastic first dive for my daughter; you would have thought she'd been doing it for years! Visibility was great and the...

Mixed vibes and feelings here, however it was a decent place to stay and James did go out of his way to be helpful to us during our stay. I think the main issue was staying to long, it really is the best place to be to go diving! Very relaxed and chill atmosphere. If your in Nkhata bay and...

Debbie (owner) and Holly (dive master) are fantastic. Comfortable rooms and beautiful views. Their are a lot of dogs but they are friendly and cute. My wife is disabled (can't walk) but Debbie was super helpful in accommodating her as best as she could. They were also great with my 9 year old daughter. The food was definitely the best...

We stayed here as its right next to where the boats leave to other destinations across the lake. We met the new owners of the place as well as the dive instructor, Holly. There are 4 rooms and about 10 dogs! The food and company was excellent and if we had had more time we would have stayed longer. Thanks...
