I stayed in vilankulos beach lodge for 4 days in July 2020 . I was received with honour at the gate by security guards and beautiful smiles at the reception. Even though it was at the peak of the pandemic, they have many protective measures in place that make you feel safe. This place is very beautiful with see view , mega swimming pool, cute garden,lovely people working there. They are so attentive that make you feel at home.the food is delicious I love the lobster is finger licking. The rooms are big and luxurious and expensive materials were used. Vilanculos Beach Lodge is extremely well located on the beach. The grounds are beautiful with manicured gardens. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and disinfectant protocols were well organized.

I am currently at the Vilanculos beach lodge restaurant. It took us over an hr to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was the wrong order. We ordered a pizza , a lobster, and two prawn curries- all dishes were quite disappointing. The pizza (picture attached) didn’t have mozzarella but some other cheese, which made it very dry. The lobster was very dry with no butter sauce, no sauce at all. I asked for lemons to add some taste to it and they brought me dry lime. The curry wasn’t great either.

This place feels like home, the staff is very well trained and without exception always friendly and helpful. Apart from the best view and swimming pool in Vilanculos, the facilities are well maintained and always in good working order. Have been staying at Beach Lodge many times over the past couple of years and you can always depend on their high standards being maintained. Not many words can describe the experience we had... Just... WOW!
It is in my opinion the place with the BEST view in Vilankulo, and offers you the best combo of swimming pool + beach, with an amazing infinity pool right in front of the beach.
The rooms were the best and so cozy. Just add a bathtub and it will be perfect 😍
The food was great and very consistent, and prices are very reasonable.
The best thing of our trip however, was that the whole staff was so friendly, and really outdid themselves in making our experience the best ever.
From organizing our tours to getting us towels for our island hopping adventure and opening exceptions at the kitchen for our convenience, everyone was just on top of their game and thanks to that we had the best time ever.
Hats off, I recommend the lodge and can say that it's definitely the place to be in Vilankulo! ❤️❤️❤️

The staff at VBL are friendly, provide exceptional service and are amenable to arranging requested excursions on your behalf with other professional service providers. The food is highly recommended and halaal- friendly. Apart from being scrumptious, the portions are large as well. The room is sufficiently spacious with the exception of the toilet. The resort amenities are great, an infinity pool overlooks the bath-water temperature ocean! The spa is currently only serviced by one masseuse, making couple massages difficult and the wifi was unreliable at times. Thank you to all the staff at VBL, who ensured warm service, always had a smile to offer and went above and beyond to plan several birthday surprises for us. A highly recommended spot for couples and families.

Angela and her team were excellent during our stay. It was my girlfriend's 30th birthday celebration and they went above and beyond to make our stay special that we will forever cherish our stay at the lodge for the rest of our lives. Breakfast was amazing with lots of options and dinner was fantastic with live music to enjoy your meal. The outdoor area is absolutely breathtaking with various chill areas by the pool, by the lawn and by the beach volley ball area. The infinity pool is amazing on its own with a beautiful view. The staff are always available to assist with a smile on their face. The rooms are spacious with very comfy bed and an patio for you to relax. It is a place that I will always stay in when I come to Vilanculos. It is worth every penny.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeble and accommodating. The layout of the bungalows were really well done, giving guests privacy without compromising distance. We had a wonderful stay at Vilanculos Beach Lodge. The lodge is set in beautiful surroundings with direct beach access and a wonderful ocean view (I would recommend making the effort to get up to watch the sunrise above the ocean). The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They also helped us organise an amazing boat trip to Bazaruto. We very much enjoyed all of the facilities that the lodge has to offer, such as the spa, pool, games, kayaks and paddle boards. Some of the kayak/paddle board equipment was a little old/worn out so if you're not experienced you might have a bit of difficulty but we were able to use them without problems. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, the breakfast selection was huge and each day had different fresh pastries/treats to enjoy in addition to what you would expect from a full breakfast buffet. Lunch/dinner were also fantastic - a nice varied menu, wonderfully fresh ingredients and very tasty, high quality food. Overall we had a very memorable and relaxing stay and I would definitely recommend it.

Good day. There is unfortunately no set "Kids Club" but there is lots to do. Bard games, stand up paddles, kayaks, island trips, jet skis and so much more. All can be arranged at reception during your stay.

Basic would include Breakfast, you could add supplementary meals like Lunch and Dinner per person. We do however echo the sentiment shared by previous guests. Perhaps choose the most versatile option (Being Bed and Breakfast) and you can then decide on any given day to dine in or explore other establishments at your leisure. There may also be days where you opt for a light meal as apposed to a full 3 course meal and this way it is entirely your decision on a daily basis.
