Casa Jules is ideally located in central Vilanculos and offers easy access to the beach (2 minutes walk), the central market, the bus station. Built in a green park where you can find hibiscus as well as coconut trees and baobabs, Casa Jules benefits from a cosy atmosphere : a new charming hotel of 8 bedrooms and 4 huts, surrounded by Jule's bar and restaurant, a lovely sea water swimming pool and a lounge. The renovation of the spot and the building of Casa Jules was done in 2012 : the sober and elegant decoration combined with the beauty of the surroundings make this place a real haven of peace and tranquility. Bruno and Valerie, the belgo-french owners, are always ready to provide you with information. They are a friendly and hospitable couple who will make your stay in Casa Jules a happy and serene one.
We spend 2 weeks in Casa Jules and we really enjoyed this time! The staff is really friendly. The food was soooooo good: best pizza from Vilanculos, fish,... and an awesome seafood plater 😊! Valerie and Bruno are always there to help you to plan activities! 🤘 I really recommend this place!

We ended up at Jules' as the so praised Baobab was ridiculously expensive for a backpacker stop, and were very happy about our move. Room was very nice and clean, and the staff (and owners !) very friendly. Pizzas were also excellent. Only down side we can think of was the breakfast - a bit pricey for what s in it.

We spent an amazing week at Casa Jules, the staff is always there to help and the bar has a very nice vibe at night. And honestly it has one of the best pizzas in town, directly from the firewood oven, strongly recommend it. The rest of the menu is great as well, we were glad to be dining there every single night of our stay.

We stayed at Casa Jules for four nights as part of our honeymoon. Bruno runs a wonderful hotel, is incredibly welcoming and helpful. We also want to give a special shout out to Castro and Ito who were not only great bar men, they are fantastic company and couldn't have been more professional and hospitable. Castro acted as our taxi driver during our stay, and he and Ito took us on a historical / cultural tour of Vilankulos which was fascinating. We recommend this to anyone staying at Casa Jules / Zombie Cucumber.

My tour group stayed two nights at Casa Jules in Vilanculos. The hotel is across the street from the beach and rather hidden from the road. Once inside the high fence it opens into an oasis of palm trees, flowering shrubs and tidy cabins with an open air bar and restaurant area with small pool overlooked by a few motel rooms. We stayed two nights and I would loved to have stayed longer. The room in the motel like building was comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the lawn and pool area. Mosquito nets hang over the beds but I never noticed one buzzing around while I was there. The food and service in the restauant was amazing, the best I had in Mozambique. They even had their own brick pizza oven and everyone raved about the pizza. I especially enjoyed the Tiger Prawns which was like eating 5 small lobster. Owners also operate a small beach cafe across the road from the hotel which I was told also had great food, though I didn't eat there myself. We were there on Saturday night and because the hotel was full, the owners brought in live music, two local performers who played great music, everything from traditional mozambique songs to old familiar rock and roll. It was great. Casa Jules has my highest recommendation. I can not think of more to say about it, the best two nights of my trip in Mozambique.…
