We ended our honeymoon with 4 nights at Santorini and this was truly a magical place to stay before our trip came to an end. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The views are breathtaking and we felt completely serene the entire time we were there. The attention to detail from all the staff here is top notch and they really cater to you above and beyond during your entire stay - from serving picnic lunches on beach, carrying down coolers of drinks for you to enjoy on the beach or your boat excursions, delivering coffee boxes to you in the morning, and much more. Abel looked after us during our stay and was so warm and courteous. Cristiano, Paulino, Ignacio, and Alberto were all awesome either looking after us on the beach or taking us out on a sunset dhow cruise and snorkeling trip. The food here was wonderful and they were able to cater well to vegetarians. We loved the Sala Bar with Stef and Rubin in the evenings to grab a drink and interact with other guests. Stef, from the management team, made sure we were well taken care of and helped to plan our days out. The spa services here were also incredible and should not be missed. We would highly recommend Santorini to anyone traveling to Vilanculos!

We stayed in the Chapel (family of 4) and were extremely impressed with its setup and location. Absolutely beautiful. One of the first lodges where the pictures on the website don't do it justice. The staff were very friendly and obliging, particularly the staff at the beach who were great with the children. There were a few issues though, which are not acceptable for an upmarket lodge like this. The rates at the Chapel are much higher than the main lodge. We were advised at the time of booking that we couldn't book at the main lodge as children under 12 years old were not allowed to stay there unless the lodge was booked on an exclusive use basis. On our first day though, we found that there was a family staying at the main lodge with a child under 12 (not booked on an exclusive basis). This was naturally a sore point for us and management's response to us was not adequate. We had an issue with housekeeping arriving very late on one of our days there, thus infringing on our privacy/ relaxation time. We alerted management to this and was advised that this would be addressed. It was not. On our checkout day, housekeeping was in the villa turning the room over well before checkout time, infringing on our privacy and relaxation time again. For roughly a day and night we did not have bottled water in our villa. I am not sure how an upmarket lodge like this runs out of bottled water in the middle of December. Overall, we did not feel that this lodge lived up to expectations due to its selective application of its child policy and lack of management oversight on day to day running issues that we should not have encountered.

Thank you for taking the time provide feedback on your recent stay with us. We are sorry to read of the issues you experienced. Housekeeping are scheduled to service the private villas during guests' breakfast ,to not infringe on privacy, and all drinks are usually stocked in the morning into the private bar along with bottled water and large glass bottles that we fill from our reverse osmosis machine. Your comments have been taken to heart and we will make sure this standard practice is always enforced. We do have our child policy in place to allow families to enjoy the private villas spaces better suited to younger families, whereas families with older children and couples can enjoy the shared spaces of our main villa offers. We had accepted the booking in the main villa with the child who was very close approaching his 12th Birthday and unfortunately, we are unable to make these exceptions for younger children. We do hope to be able to welcome you and your family back to the Villa in future. Regards Santorini Management

We spent the last 4 days of our honeymoon here and it was so incredible I almost don't even know where to begin... First, the property is STUNNING and impeccably maintained. Everything about the design feels intentional and well appointed - from the common areas to the suites. Seriously this place is gorgeous. The service is world class and their attention to detail is honestly mind blowing. Examples: - Every morning they leave a coffee box right outside your door with a thermos of hot coffee, milk, sugar and little biscuits so you can enjoy it at your leisure. - There are no "set" meal times for all guests, you get to decide what time you'd like to dine. - They're intentional about sustainability. All guests get a glass water bottle to use during the stay/take home which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. -All guests get a private host to look after you. Abel took care of us during our stay and he was wonderful. He took note of our drink orders on the first day and for all the subsequent days it was like magic - he was always ready with our favorite beverage at just the right times. This is going to sound silly, but he also carved little designs in our butter dish everyday that were so cute and thoughtful. He was so observant and picked up on all our preferences and habits and catered to us as if we were royalty. - Albertina took care of our room/laundry and was outstanding. - Cristiano down at the beach area not only helped us with our lounge set ups and ocean kayaks, he also noticed us watching the fishermen and women pull in their net and went out of his way to ask the boat captain if he could bring us over to see the process up close & personal. - Samuel our driver was fantastic. He taught us so much about Mozambique & the town, he showed us the local market, took care of making sure we were in the right places at the right times. And last, but certainly not least, Samantha was outstanding. She and her husband Mike do an incredible job managing this place and it shows. She kicked off our stay with a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our honeymoon and surprised us on our last night with a beautiful picture frame with one of our wedding photos. I could go on and on. The experience is completely bespoke! If you're looking for a boutique, luxury experience, look no further. We hope to return one day!

I knew Santorini was amazing, but I didn't realize just how amazing it was until I moved to my new place which is nice as well, but not Santorini-nice. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I felt like I was in great hands by attentive (but not too attentive) staff who offered some of the best service I've had in Africa. I absolutely loved my room: the decor, linens, bathroom, accessories (waterproof speaker and yoga mat!), etc. And the massage and manicure I got were among the best I've ever had (and I review hotel spas for a living). I also loved the variety of activities and wish I stayed longer (I was just there 3 nights) so I could try them all. Finally, I loved how reliable and fast the WiFi was (I had work to do), and most of the food was phenomenal. There was a bacon-wrapped pork filet that was probably only a 5/10 but every other item (and I ate three meals a day) was 10/10, especially the chocolate fondant. The curio shop is also really cute! And I loved the TV room for watching the World Cup.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights to end our honeymoon. the perfect way to end the trip! The views of the ocean are some of the best we have ever seen (and we are definitely beach connoisseur’s). The local fisherman have small wooden boats that sit on the water and look like a painting. The Chapel private villa was the nicest place we have probably ever stayed. We had a Butler, Abel who was available for anything we would have ever needed. They served us all meals in the villa. They would set up elaborate dinner settings (like lighting all these lanterns around the pool to set the mood). Our favorite thing from Santorini was our day trip our to the coral reef to snorkel. We went in a 38 ft boat about an hour out into the ocean with massive waves to this reef. Thanks goodness for George (2nd mate) getting into the water with us or I probably wouldn’t have. It was incredible. They then took us to private islands and made us a private lunch on the boat. This was one of the most relaxed and personalized places to wrap up an incredible two week honeymoon. The details along the way and personal touches (like a wrapped picture frame made from the boats with our wedding photo inside) made is the most special trip for us.

We stayed at Santorini for the last part of our honeymoon and we could not have had a better experience! This resort is absolutely one of a kind. It is so private and luxurious, there is nowhere better to spend your honeymoon. The service was out of this world, Sergio and Samantha went above and beyond to make us feel special and taken care of! Not to mention the property is absolutely stunning.

Perfect end to a honeymoon! After doing lots of sightseeing and activities such as safari in SA we went to Mozambique for 5 nights for some rest and relaxation. Santorini Mozambique was incredible! The hotel itself is beautiful overlooking the ocean! The service, food/drinks, activities were amazing. This was the perfect end to our amazing honeymoon. Shout out to our host Acacio who was amazing and Samantha who helped plan all our days including our day trip to Margaruque Island which was the best! Felt like we had a private island to ourselves where we relaxed, snorkelled, had a beach picnic - was amazing! This place is a little gem of paradise!

I almost don't want to write this review as I want to keep Santorini the best kept secret in Mozambique! We came for our honeymoon to spend 5 of the most blissful days we've ever had. The attention to detail was phenomenal, everything about Santorini is stunning. From the rooms, to the surrounding gardens and the beach. I can't fault anything. Samantha made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and every single member of staff was warm, welcoming and so friendly. Pedro - where do we even begin? Undeniably one of the loveliest human beings we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were met every day with a huge smile and he tirelessly looked after us all week. We were so sad to say goodbye to what felt like an old friend. We're already planning our next visit! Thank you Santorini for making our honeymoon so special
