We booked our stay at Capricorn very spontaneous with no problems at all. Karsten made us a very warm welcome. He helped us with a lot of advices, provided a delicious dinner on his terrace and we had some nice conversation. If u look for a peaceful, down to earth and affordable place to stay - go there. We stayed at the Capricorn Rest Camp while traveling from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. Initially we thought of it as a quick stop inbetween the two locations but it turned out to be so much more! The location is amazing. Its extremely quiet and peaceful and you will enjoy the nice surroundings! At night we had a very clear view on...

We stayed here for two nights in Aug / Sept 2015. Although the rooms are basic, they are clean and you have all you need. Karsten is a welcoming and friendly host who is keen to advise on sights in the area and is an interesting chap. The food is very good and there is plenty of it. Capricorn Rest...

An excellent and restful place to find your feet in Namibia. Karsten is an excellent host and able to answer so many questions. The cabins are basic, but comfortable, with power for lighting and charging batteries. You can sit on the terrace outside your room then go to Karsten's house for a relaxed meal. Returning along the path you become...

Karsten was a very welcoming host who provided a delicious dinner & breakfast on his front verandah overlooking his garden. The camp is run on solar power, so power is limited but plenty of hot water. The rooms are very clean but basic. There is no internet.

We were lucky enough to stay at the Capricorn Rest Camp near the Namib-Naukluft park in June 2015 and very much enjoyed our stay of two nights. Karsten, the host and owner, has done a great job with his little bungalows and he serves top-notch food! The nights can get very cold here, so get as many blankets as you...

The high spot of Capricorn is its owner, Karsten, whose welcome and hospitality is boundless albeit lowkey. The food is great - plenty of it and very well cooked - Karsten is an accomplished chef. The rooms are spacious and facilities spotless. A great & peaceful place to stay off the beaten track.

We stayed at Capricorn on our way to Sossuvlei, and had a lovely time -- rooms were tidy and very clean, well-tended and prepared when we arrived. Our hosts, Kasten and Tata, were so incredibly friendly and sweet -- they even got up at 4:30 am (!!) to make us coffee and packed breakfasts to take to the dunes. Great...
