The hotel is very well located, the restaurant is good, and the decoration is nice, but in the rooms, they need to paint, some bathrooms smells very bad, we stayed in 2 different rooms, and the second room it was full of hair and dirty sheets, but the location is perfect. No windows at the room is like a cave.

This is one of those hotels I keep staying at despite the fact that they are quite simple. What brings me back every time is its architecture: a typical century-old colonial style place. The rooms are somehow old and most of them only have inside windows, so that light is not one of the pros of this place. But the...

Centrally located. Superb architecture and with a lovely courtyard and restaurant which is lovely in the evenings. If you dont understand and appreciate history such as " old doors " dont stay here. Hotel is a stones throw away from the main historical sights. Always a pleasure to stay here and am returning gladly in August.

This hotel has a great location, it is very cheap and it is clean. However, it needs more attention, the doors are ancient, my room was next to the stairs and we heard a lot of noise during the night, and the bed was not soft. If you are visiting for only a night this hotel is a cheap and...

We stayed here for the night on our travels through Mexico and it was good enough. We had an interior room which wasn't the best to be honest, and the shower was awful! However we spent our time walking around and getting to know the town, so for us the hotel was OK and is cheap.

With a recommendation from a trusted friend I booked a room for my wife & myself at this historic gem. We arrived mid afternoon with excellent reception at the front desk. Quickly processed paying the 610 peso cost per night including all fees/taxes. Room a bit small but well maintained, very clean, with a comfortable bed, good WiFi, normal Mexican...

The old section of Queretaro is a wonderful place to be, and the Hidalgo Hotel is perfectly located so you can walk to everything. The street has been converted to a pedestrian walkway, so your taxi will drop you off on the closest main street and you will walk about a half a block to the entrance. Earlier reviews had...

My family stayed at this hotel for about 9 days and they really enjoyed it. The place was clean and the rooms were spacious. The only issue with the room that they had was because they had a balcony facing the street, if they wanted to sleep early it was a little loud. The courtyard in the hotel is beautiful...

Granted we were somewhat apprehensive because of the reasonable price for a location right in centro. We checked out the room choices prior to checking in and found the rooms to be somewhat claustrophobic and very minimal. Since we had made a reservation, we chose to stay one night but cancel the reservation for the second. Not that we felt...

Location is great, service was good, and the courtyard is beautiful. I love the reasonable price, and the convenience of an on site restaurant. The bad: the room was opressively small. Also, the ceiling fan was noisy and only had one setting. However, overall it was a good place to stay. Quiet, safe, central, and very historical.
