Farmers is convenient to the train, but not loud, and is a short walk to all the fun of Warren Street. The rooms were renovated quite skillfully in their use of space and natural materials. So handsome. We have eaten here several times in 2016. Great oysters, friendly waiter & the gorgeous room feels great to eat in. My only...

We are just about equidistant between the train and Warren Street, indeed! Hudson is a very walkable town. We appreciate you saying that the rooms are handsome! It's true--we always recommend reservations when possible because our Boarding & Barroom both book up fast! Anyone who is able should consider coming to visit during the week for a quieter getaway. The Abigail Suite is darling and we are glad you were able to take advantage of the one room with the LP player! We currently do $1 oyster happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 5-6pm and Friday's and Saturday's from 3-5pm. So happy you were able to take advantage of that, although we would definitely invite you to dine in...

Great spot that would fit any urban area. Super staff. Rooms are new and stylish in a woodie Soho style. Some bed only rooms on 3d floor would be great for family friends outing. Best of all the restaurant might even be the best part with decor and food on par with rest of world class eateries.

What a tremendous compliment! We read this and sincerely appreciate you saying all these kind things...It has us glowing. You're absolutely right about the Haley, Margaret and Kemp rooms--they do make a nice family/friends scenario when rented together as they are on a shared bath. We have also nearly completed our coffee deck on the same floor as these shared...

My husband, 3-year-old and I recently stayed, dined, and nearly lost our minds with happiness at Wm. Farmer & Sons. We had a few days to take off unexpectedly, and decided to go -- we'd never been before but heard good things. On arrival, we were met with the friendliest greeting -- they were expecting us and knew our names,...

I love visiting Hudson; and on this trip was taking my Dad from Australia to check out the town. We rented the larger "studio" which has a bedroom; and then an additional bed in the living room. It was a lovely set up - but I should point out it is separate from the hotel - a few doors down...

Stayed in the James Louie rm. On the third floor not second. VERY narrow and steep with short steps. The floors are so uneven that you walk uphill to get to the bed, and there was an area of rotted out missing wood in the floor you had to be careful not to step into and get splinters in your...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wm Farmer and Sons is an intimate, eleven room hotel located in the heart of historical Hudson. We offer devilishly attractive rooms at unpretentious prices. Known for our eclectic charm and comfort, our 1830’s Inn now features a restaurant, barroom and coffee shop. Authentic farm-to-table cuisine and craft cocktails served up daily. Each room has a view of the Catskill Mountains or Hudson River. Fresh morning fruit and premium coffee are complimentary. We admittedly make it hard to rouse your self in the morning – luxury beds, 500 thread count sheets, and big fluffy pillows conspire against you, while in-room flat screen TVs and free WiFi scratch your digital itch. When you do rise, we’re just steps from Hudson’s local galleries, hip boutiques, and growing music scene. ... more   less
