We stayed for 3 nights for skiing at Hunter Mt. It's minutes away from the ski area as well as ski shops for rentals. The room was large and warm, beds and pillows were comfy. There was a mini-fridge and a small flat-screen TV. The TV was easy enough to connect our iPad for streaming and the internet was faster than we have at home! We were on the ground floor meaning we didn't have to use steps within the hotel to get to our room, and there is a ramp outside to avoid steps altogether. Service was excellent. Easy to check-in/check-out and supplies were promptly provided when requested. The slight improvements are (1) the breakfast. Other reviews cite oatmeal but there was no oatmeal during the 3 days we were there, only unhealthy cereals like Rice Krispies and Sugar Frosted Flakes, and no whole grain or wheat, only white bagels. We were prepared for this contingency by bringing our own oatmeal cups, berries, fruit and nuts from home. I hope the breakfast can be a little healthier. Coffee was good. (2) Some of the room power outlets were old whereby our dual iPhone charger would fall out of the outlet. We could not use the one where the fridge was plugged in because of that reason. Other outlets within the room were better. If we ski hunter again (we generally don't go to the same place twice), we would stay here again.…
Well, I think this hotel is just great. We stayed here this fall and had a room with a balcony looking out at the foliage filled mountains, so beautiful! The room was quite large and nicely decorated, with a mini fridge and table and chairs. The whole building is so pleasantly decorated, I love the ambiance. The staff is very pleasant to interact with. No hotel is perfect, and yes, the continental breakfast offered could have been better, but they do offer it, and that means a lot. I believe they put out coffee and tea later in the day as well. The bathroom had some issues with wear and tear, probably from years of skiiers roughing about, but they are currently in the process of renovating the hotel, so that should be taken care of. I was assured that the lobby would stay the same, thank God, it is so nice. Also, I would like to mention that there is a game room with ping pong, pool and arcade games of some sort, which is great. There is a large grassy meadow outside the back, picnic tables, a firepits, and then of course the gorgeous view of the mountains.…
Overpriced! Poor quality conditions and service. This place has deteriorated over the last few years. No front desk staff on check-in (waited 20minutes) and very unfriendly. Lobby fireplace now replaced with electric heater connected with orange extension cords. Bedroom rug had vomit stains and bathtub/shower covered in black mold. Breakfast offered was watered down coffee and a stale bagel. Pat
Great stay. Good workers. Rooms are clean. Internet was good. Cell service bad in area, so an extra thumbs up for good internet and wifi. Breakfast is bagels and oatmeal, coffee and hot chocolate.. it’s included/free. All good things. A stones throw from the mountain, so much better than busing in and out the same day as I’ve done for 10 years before this trip.
There are rooms with nice mauntain views if you are lucky enough to get them.... I was put in the basement... I have never seen a hotel with rooms in the cellar before. There are signs of 30 year old neglect everywhere and the smell of carpet freshener is overwhelming. There are no amenities... not even a soda or candy machine. The hotel sign that welcomes the guests is rotten and falling down... but the sign is a good sign, as it provides guests an honest example of what to expect during their visit
We had a very large double queen room with a mountain view and were very pleased that the hotel was quiet, the room very clean, the linens comfy, with very good restaurants. Plenty of parking, glad masks were required in public areas, and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Very close to Hunter Mountain with its ski lift (not skiing season but a pleasant ride to view the valleys around, and close to Tannersville with more restaurants. Breakfast was bagels, coffee and fruit so don't expect a big hot spread. We'd be happy to stay at Hunter again.
A quick little weekend with a friend. The hotel was very cozy and lobby was decorated so nice for the Fall season. It was very inviting and happy:) The room was very spacious and clean. The continental breakfast was satisfying. A hot, toasted bagel with cream cheese and jelly with Hot cup of coffee... Mmmm, started my morning off right. We were very pleased. Definitely will stay again.
The room was very spacious, comfortable bed, and had an awesome mountain view. It is also very good for the family to stay for sightseeing. Also should have some more food options for a late-night arrival.
Went to dinner came back at 9:15 keys to the room didn't work. No one on site to let us into the room. Waited 20 minutes for someone to open the door. Many other issues but that one took the cake. Never again can't even give it a 1 but had too to submit the review.
room was clean except for the peeling wall paper, cracks in the walls, toilet loose on the floor,no phone or usb ports and no heat.coffee and a muffin was breakfast, cheerios and milk $6.00 . there was no fire pit outside on a beautiful saturday night, did not have a reason why. all this was advertised in their web site.
