Enjoy your stay in Hunter!
This place is a truly upgraded mountain experience. The rooms are comfortable, beds clean and soft, showers hot and pressured, and the coffee fresh. My 14 year old daughter and I enjoyed a long weekend near Hunter Mountain. The staff was kind and the atmosphere felt rustic, yet modern. While we didn't eat in the lodge, we did order take out from there and spent the nights quietly watching movies comfortably in the room while the lodge was crowded with live music. This place a gem. We will be back!
Very good location with a stunning mountain view at the Hunter mountain. We had always visited and stayed in this area during the winter skiing season, but this was the first time we visited here in summer. A lot of trails and places to explore and you won’t get bored. This newly renovated property is a very cute lodge that a group of family/friends in any size can easily enjoy. I know it might be hard to maintain, but it would be awesome if they can add a outdoor hot tub in the future for winter skiers and riders.
Loved our stay! Spacious room that seemed recently renovated and well appointed. Excellent and warm service at the front desk and restaurant. Great food at the restaurant and fun live music. Extras like coffee and muffins in the AM and freshly baked cookies in the afternoon were a really nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
We stayed at Hunter Lodge for a Ski Weekend Getaway.....WHAT a FIND! Very nice accommodations on a couple of minutes from Hunter Mountain Ski Resort. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and VERY Helpful!!. We will be back for SURE!!
I recently stayed her for three night last minute getaway. Everyone that worked here were friendly and accommodating. I stayed in the basement area which a lot of people have complained about. I was in room 104 which had a patio to the outside and fantastic views of the mountains. The room was very spacious with a sitting area and very clean. The actual bathroom was a bit small. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would back again.
I stayed for 2 nights and the manager, Rachel, was the most unfriendly and irresponsible person I have ever met. She would not accommodate basic requests. I could not believe it. She is in the hospitality business, not the dictatorship business. The room I booked was the Friend Zone room. It was never advertised that it in the basement of the place. We could not stay in the basement so we requested to pay for an upgrade. She stated no rooms were available. I went on hotels.com and booked a suite in front of her. I asked her how I was able to do that and she said she did not know. Then within minutes I received my keys for my suite and I had to keep the Friend Zone room that she called a "BUNKER". She would not let me get out of the BUNKER aka basement room. Imagine not advertising that the room is in the basement and not telling them until AFTER they check in and go see the room? Ridiculous. She should be ashamed and the hotel should hire a new manager of its facilities. She was so nasty that I have never encountered someone in any hotel I have ever stayed at. Also, the hotel should advertise on its website that the Friend Zone is a BUNKER AKA BASEMENT ROOM.…
After walking into the room and seeing how spacious and luxe it was, my partner was convinced that we'd been upgraded to a suite. I had to confirm that we were in the right room (we were)! Nice bar on premises, good bath amenities, rockin views of Hunter Mountain off the patio. Only downside was the teensy tiny kinda claustrophobic closet the shower and toilet were in. Would stay again! Perfect base for hitting some High Peaks.
I found this hotel while looking online for a nice place to stay close to home. I am so happy we chose this hotel. It was charming, newly renovated, and had a great feel to it! Can’t wait to come back
We had a great stay at Hunter Lodge. I was nervous when we first arrived because we could hear the people in the room next to us talking. I am not sure if they were just loud at that time, but we did not have an issue for the rest of our stay. The staff was very friendly. The common spaces were clean and welcoming. We spent time playing games as a family in the common areas in the evenings. Housekeeping comes upon request and we did not use them for our 3 nights. It was very easy to get to Hunter Mountain to ski. We would stay here again if we visit the area.
The last time I visited the pipes clanked all night long, but with earplugs it was acceptable. So I booked again for the Christmas weekend. Unfortunately I got COVID and had to cancel. They kept my payment for no services rendered. Customer centric? Not one bit! When you check their webpage there is no place for reviews. The staff is only says no. They should be embarrassed to think they are part of the hospitality industry. Stay away!
