Hotel is in a great location by the Ithaca Commons. Rooms were clean and comfortable and plenty of room. We enjoyed our overnight there and would certainly stay at this hotel again. Staff was very friendly as well and my dog loved the goodie bag she received at check in!

Hotel's Favourite
The rooms had some of the best useful functional designs compared to most hotel rooms. Instead of a traditional closet design, there was a LARGE freestanding open wardrobe that could fit two large suitcases for easy access. Additionally a lower shelf for shoes and drawers and hooks as well. Brilliant. The beverage tower also very useful with additional storage and a refrigerator drawer which was surprisingly roomy. There was a sliding barn door between the bathroom/room hallway and the door which had dual functionality. It provided another level of quiet between the bedroom and any loud talkers in the hallway and another layer of quiet for anyone needing to use the restroom during the night. Again, brilliant. The only dawnfall in my opinion to the room was the bathroom/vanity area was small, but lots of storage options below the sink and on the shelves on the wall. The floors had a water bottle refill and ice station right by the elevators which was again....brilliant. The hotel is more mid century modern in design without being over the top. The bar/lounge/restaurant area was very comfortable looking, but because of COVID was not open. Breakfast offerings were slim, again because of COVID. Parking is two blocks away, but by no means inconvenient. There is a small drive in front of the hotel with a couple parking spaces to load and unload your car. Multiple restaurant options just around the corner and plenty of waterfalls and trails nearby to walk to. We walked to Buttermilk State Park (about 2 miles), Cascadilla Gorge (just a couple blocks away), up to Ithaca College (about 1.5 miles uphill), Mullholland Nature Preserve (about a mile) and Six Mile Creek Vineyards (about 2.5 miles...use the trails at Mullholland Nature Preserve to cut down on having to walk on the busy road). All worth the walk!

Pluses (generally big): • Loved the room • Loved the cleanliness • Loved the friendly front desk folks • Loved the friendly, attentive cleaning folks • Really liked the bed, splooshy and completely non-firm though it was • Liked the pillows (side sleeper) • LOVED the room design. In particular: — a contraption by the door with the surface to support [*gasp*] TWO suitcases + hanger pole w/hangers + hooks to hang stuff — the FAB mini fridge that doesn’t require crouching — hot-and-cold-running USB ports everywhere — In-room safe + instructions for securing larger items w/front desk — a sliding privacy door in the bathroom area — a sliding door btwn bedroom & everything else. Really seemed to cut down on noise from the hallway, esp when I needed to sleep in — good desk & comfy chair — a fun chaise by the window, with a good table to pair with it • Good HVAC — easy to use, effective • Loved the LED lighting embedded in furniture in the room entrance area. Low light is great at night + lets you see what you need to see + energy efficient • Recycling bin combined with garbage can! • Walk-in shower sooo nice • Fan in shower area — bodes well for future visits • Good hot water & controls Minuses (small but irritating): • Inadequate entrance signage on buildings. I circled the block twice without noticing either of the 2 entrances (the car pull-in area OR the door entrance on the other side of the block). Finally found a place to sit & call the hotel to determine A) where to park B) how to get in to the building. Staff were very helpful. • Shower head with single “rainfall” setting (personally I like more oomph) • Large TV featured options like YouTube but reception on YouTube was not great Overall an excellent stay, and I look forward to staying again.

Don’t mind paying for great location & service, but would not recommend. Parking is far & they charge for it, despite the $600 / night rate. Room is small. Restaurant is closed. No bar. Discovered no bottles of water in the room after being on hold for 14 minutes. Feels like a self-service low budget spot.
