We stayed at the Inn on Columbia in 2012 when we were in Ithaca for two nights on a house-hunting trip. We loved this inn, most notably for the warm and engaging service (thank you, Kenn!) and the well-appointed accommodations. The detached cottage we stayed in had a kitchen, but we didn't use it. Kenn and Madeline set a breakfast...

What a lovely little place to stay for a short or extended trip to Ithaca. Madeline greeted us when we arrived and she was just as lovely. The building we stayed in seemed recently re-done and it was so cool and modern! The red room was our room of choice and it was great. Awesome bathroom fixtures too!! It was...

We stayed in Hudson Apartment for 3 nights. As we were two couples the apartment was large enough, but it only had one bathroom. You wouldn't want to cook in the kitchen area as its too small and not well enough equipped, but we had Cornell student and boyfriend over for pizza and Thai food and that worked well on...

Thank you for taking time to post your comments. We have several accommodations that are larger and include more bathrooms. This is our busiest season and maybe this was the only one available at the time or maybe your selection was price driven as this is one of the best per room prices we have. Our accommodations are clearly described...

We decided on a long holiday weekend and Ithaca caught our eye. Last minute I give the inn on Columbia a call. Madeline was a true delight on the phone. We stayed in the gazebo suite and it was amazing. Private, romantic, clean and modern. Breakfast was the best I've had in recent memory, you should consider staying a night...

My wife and I recently stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. Ken and Madeline have made a wonderful place for people to stay in Ithaca. The Inn is beautiful and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were very good as we never left hungry. Madeline was a wonderful hostest. We would definitely stay here again. We hated to leave.

The Inn on Columbia is a perfect sanctuary - part zen, part efficiency, all wonderful. I visited my college daughter and was able to deal with typical school demands - financial aid department, grocery store run, dorm supplies, yadayadayada and was still able to feel as if I were having a vacation as well. The room was well-appointed, comfortable and...

We completed our Finger Lakes road trip with a 2 night stay in the main building. The architecture, the handmade furniture, the ever-present beverages, snacks, soft music made this B&B truly a lovely experience. Madeline's delicious breakfasts made choosing one each day a bit of a challenge. The coffee was delicious, a perfect start! The inn is wonderfully located just...

I live in Ithaca and have had friends and family stay at this charming place. The accommodations are top-notch---from the gorgeous guest houses to the design of every last detail --to the linens and especially the scrumptious muffins and treats----Madeline and Kenn have seemingly thought of everything. They are welcoming and extremely helpful to travelers as they have extensive knowledge...

My friend and I stayed at the Inn on Columbia in a room in the main house with two twin beds, which was just perfect for us! I brought my small dog, and Madeline was wonderful and very accommodating. She had a bag of dog treats waiting in the room, and didn't mind when we left the dog at the...

We were in The Red Room in Villa Madeline...around the corner from the main house. It's on the first floor at the front of the building. Aurora St. is the main road between downtown and Ithaca College, so there is a steady stream of cars during the day and evening. We were not awakened by the traffic, but certainly aware...

Thank you for taking the time to write. We are aware that the villa Madeline is on a busy street. We have done extra sound insulation in the walls and ceilings and constructed a garden wall as a sound barrier. Still, the house is in the city and subject to traffic noise. We welcome you to come stay with us...
