This is a great hotel with fantastic service. I stayed with a wedding group and a wonderful experience. some of our family members ended up in the older section of he hotel and the rooms were not as nice as the renovated ones we had. never the less the hotel has a great location and the staff is extremely friendly....

Although the location is great and the staff was professional and helpful, the hotel needs a lot of work in the original structure. I would actually recommend demolishing it. We booked on Priceline. (I'm actually upset that Priceline would reserve rooms without guaranteeing tower rooms.) We were first assigned room 113. The minute the door was opened, you could smell...

Our stay here was a real mixed bag. We loved the downtown location. It was great to be able to walk around the local stores and cafes so easily. The staff at this hotel were all great, very friendly and helpful. Our room on the first floor is not what we would have chosen had the hotel not been full....

This hotel is in a great location near restaurants and shopping. It's convenient to both IC and Cornell, although there is a lot of road work going on that makes navigating the area tricky for visitors. It's also easy to access and has ample parking. We were in the motel side and I have to agree with other reviewers that...

We recently stayed two nights while in Ithaca on family vacation. Our friends made the booking on Priceline and when arrived, our rooms were at the motel section of the hotel on the second level(no lifts). Upon entering our rooms (we had four rooms in total), there were strong moldy smell in the room and carpets appeared quite dirty. My...

The only good thing about this hotel was the location, close to the downtown with fun shops and restaurants. The room had a musky smell and in desperate need of an update; there was a problem with the toilet, the maintenance came quickly. For the cost of the room should definitely have a mini fridge!!. Front desk very helpful and...

Dear Guest, Thank you for joining us at the Hotel Ithaca and for alerting us to the musky odor in your review. The odor in your room was most likely due to the string of very warm, rainy days we have had in the area. I do apologize that you had to experience this. The carpeting in your room, though...

Summer in Ithaca is a great time to get a hotel deal, if you bid. I wasn't looking for anything other than a clean, safe, inexpensive place to sleep in Ithaca. The Super 8 was booked up, so I tried a bid, and it was accepted. We drove in late at night, and were greeted warmly. The beds were very...

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us as well as your recent review on TripAdvisor. I am glad that we were able to accommodate you in one of our renovated rooms. Being in the heart of a city like Ithaca, rooms with a view are few and far between and I do understand how that may be frustrating. On...

The old rooms, not in the tower, are like a converted motel with a seedy hallway enclosing rooms from the alley and no windows to the outside. Terrible, old and small. It is amazing that they can charge the same for all rooms.

While the location of Hotel Ithaca is convenient and right in the quaint downtown area, it is very run-down. I am told the renovated Tower is better, but I was unaware of that when I made my reservation and the hotel staff wasn't willing to move me. She said, "Well that is what happens when you book online." There is...

I have stayed here a half dozen times the last decade but not since September of 2013 when it was the Holiday Inn.
