nice people and a good, decent breakfast. Also reasonably priced BUT I came in Mid February in upstate New York it was FREEZING and even at 86 it was still more or less cold air coming out . with a good heater I would give this place a five star review for the price which is good

This property fell outside of my usual comfort zone being as it is a lower quality motel. That being said, my overall impression was very good. Yes, it is an older property, however staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small, but I was pleased to see my room was very clean and even had a modern flat screen TV. Decor and other room ammenities were outdated, but served their purpose. After my for a night I planned on sleeping in and put the do not disturb sign out. After returning later that night I was a little disappointed that housekeeping never returned to clean and restock the room, but it wasn't a huge deal. You definitely should bring your own toiletries as the soap and shampoo furnished is not very high quality. I usually bring my own anyway so again...not a big deal. The property is conveniently located and easy to access. It is not technically a "hotel", but more of a motel/motor lodge. For the price and my needs for this trip, everything worked out just fine. For someone traveling to the Jamestown area, I would recommend it. Just keep in mind - it's no frills and definitely not top star. But like I said, I was pleasantly surprised overall, because being somewhat of a hotel snob, I expected the worse. I would have no problem staying there again.

Its alright for an overnighter or two. Just the bare minimum with complimentary breakfast. Nothing spectacular and the price is a little bit more that its worth, but its okay. The hotel is old and some of the doors to the rooms or bathroom does not close well and you can hear someone slamming the doors to get it to close tight. It can be annoying especially the wooden floors under the carpet does not totally muffle the sounds when someone drops something on the floor or walks heavily in their room.

ABV is usually my choice when I travel, but this time it was not and will not be my next stay. I realize there needs to be a hotel for work gangs to sleep and eat and that is fine, but those Hotels should be presented as such a "Workers Stay" etc. Not to be confused with reg. travelers or vacationers expecting normal + accommodations. This Hotel is defiantly a "Workers Stay"

Just please...go somewhere else. Stains on the bedding...used bar of soap in the bathroom....mysterious hairs everywhere. This place is crawling with creepy people. Maybe consider sleeping in your car if there aren't any other options.

I stayed for three nights only because everyplace else was sold out. The owner/ manager was rude and very aggressive. Even threatening to punch his wife for giving me a discount rate! It's a horrible old place and just look at the water.

I had made a reservation 2 months out planning a family trip to Jamestown, NY. We had a family emergency that prompted a change in our family weekend. I called to cancel the reservation the day before check in. I was informed that I would lose my reservation fee of $145 and they would not refund. The manager, Neil, is very unprofessional in customer service. He refused to show compassion in the circumstances and basically stole my hard earned money. Please do not stay here!

We reciently stayed at Americas Best Value Inn in Jamestown while taking our granddaughter to college. Much to our surprise we found the door unlocked when we got there. We thought we could at least lock it from the inside - NOT Possible. When we went to the front desk the person told us, with a flip attidude, "Just slam the door". This didn't work either. We felt we were in a rather safe place and just used the privacy lock for the night. We felt that the management should have done something about it. It sounded like this is a common problem with a lot ot the doors.

We checked in late at night to discover our pull out couch bed was filled with rat feces. I went to the front desk and they didn’t care. The clerk never even looked up from his computer game. I went and bought sheets to use during our stay, as hotels were sold out due to the holiday. The couch had a large stain on the cushions. The room was quite dirty. Tiles in the bathroom were broken, the toilet wobbled, and there were dead bugs on the ceiling in the bathroom. There was no fan in the bathroom for ventilation. No full length mirror or dresser to unpack clothing. I placed bottled water in the mini fridge and somehow it came out smelling like cigarette smoke. We were in town to visit family, so this was just a place to sleep. The pool looked terrible. When we arrived back at the hotel every night, there wasn’t enough parking. The desk clerks didn’t want to give us clean towels every morning. When we went to check out, the doors were locked at 8 am. People just piled their hotel keys outside the door. Never tried the breakfast. I wish I could give it zero stars.
