We just spent five really spectacular days hiking in the High Peaks and nestled in at the Keene Valley Lodge, a wonderfully comfortable Adirondack bed and breakfast with great character and soul. Located in the heart of the High Peaks, Keene Valley Lodge combines the homey feel of a bed and breakfast with the outdoorsy nature of a mountain lodge....

We have just returned from the Keene Valley Lodge after having spent 2 wonderful days in the Adirondacks. This review is intended to be fact based and devoid emotional involvement. There are certain hallmarks that set aside B&B's from hotels and the reason why we choose to stay at B&B's. The first is obvious: the breakfast. It should be of...

This is an excellent choice if you will be spending a few days in the Adirondacks. In the heart of the High Peaks region, it is a very comfortable, clean, and charming home base for all Adirondack activities. A great plus is the fantastic breakfast and hospitable owners. Highly recommended.

The hospitality was great! Laurie and George had lots of hiking and dining advice. They prepared a wide selection of items for breakfast (oatmeal bar, scrambled eggs, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, home made muffins, breakfast breads and spreads, milk, oj, coffee, and a tea bag selection) and encouraged us to eat up to fortify ourselves for the trail. We were...

We have been going to Keene Valley for 5 years now. We meet up with friends and our group of about 20 people stay throughout town as there is family who reside in town. We have stayed in guests rooms, basements and other inns in the area but this year we went back for a second stay at the lodge...

We stayed with family for a week in Phelps Cottage, the house next door to the Keene Valley Lodge. A delightful, cozy, cottage, just perfect for our family, two floors, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen, living, dining, den, and porches, TV and wifi, washer and dryer, and outdoor grill. We never met the hosts during our stay, a key...

We have reviewed the lodge before but it had been a year since we had been back figured it was a good time to repost. As always it was excellent! A perfect break from the chaos of life. Only complaint was we couldn't stay longer. The owners are warm and welcoming, breakfast delicious, rooms emmaculate and comfortable, and you cannot...

Everything is good about this accommodation; from the friendly owners, George and Laurie, to the super clean rooms with the colourful quilts, enjoying the warmth of the magnificant stone fireplace in the living room. We have stayed there at least three times per winter during the last four winters and the friendly atmosphere continues to embrace us. Situated in the...

It is Jan. 1 and we have just left the Keene Valley Lodge. I just couldn't wait to write a glowing review! My family and I stayed in 2 rooms with a shared bath down the hall. The rooms were perfectly described as cozy yet comfortable. They were well heated and the beds were great! The bathroom was large and...

“We liked having space, so the one on the first floor that lets out onto the porch was our pick--had a sitting area and a bedroom along with the bathroom, and the bathroom seemed bigger than some of the others--but you really need to go through all of the available rooms to pick your fave--pluses to all of them really :)”
