Me and my friend Cody had an amazing time at the Hudad lodge. Such a great trip hiking up the mountain enjoying the surroundings. We had 2 awesome guides, Messay mobile+251-911-36-23-23, definately book him. He knows the place from top till down and he's such a cool and friendly person to hang out with!! We had a blast meeting him....

Stay here - seriously. I've been living in Ethiopia for three years and have seen a lot of different places to stay. This spot is one the best in the whole country. You're on a plateau with panoramic views of the incredible mountains surrounding Lalibela that inspired the building of one of the greatest religious monuments in history. Rest easy...

We almost didn't want to write a review in fear of making this hidden gem unhidden. Up on the plateau overlooking the town of Lalibella, Hudad is a plateau with several traditional tukuls on top. It's spectacularly beautiful - some of the best views you’ll find in the whole country. It takes about an hour and half to get up...

Hudad lodge is located on a ridge overlooking Lalibela, with breathtaking views both day and night (I don't think I've ever seen that many stars). The rooms are basic, but with good beds and thick blankets. Staff will provide you with a hot water bottle before going to bed, and given the altitude of 3300m this is a nice luxury...

Three incredible weeks in Ethiopia and this was the highlight for my family. Breathtaking, incredible service, so respectful of the local culture, local economy and the environment. The rooms were beautiful yet simple. We stayed for two nights in December and would stay for a more had we had the time. Thanks to Zeru Lasta our wonderful guide. My children...

The hike to get there for us was an amazing experience. Kids and people who have problems hiking can take the mules at the bottom of the hills. The hike can take you from the bottom of the hills(end of the road) between 1.5-2.5 hours to the Hudad area or to the "eco-lodge". You have a choice to stay in...

Beautifully organized. We spent three days. The staff really work hard to make everything work for your stay. It's extremely relaxing. I wish they'd put a translucent roof on the shower tukul, so it would be a bit warmer! Hudad Lalibela also arranges overnight treks. Highly recommend Tadesse +251 912071595 as a guide.
