A perfect couples getaway. Rockwell Falls Inn sits in the pretty Village of Lake Luzerne, NY in the southern Adirondack Park. Near Lakes and the narrowest point of the Hudson River called Rockwell Falls. A great photo op. The Inn consists of an 1890 stately building with wrap around porch and a spacious guest sitting area filled with games, a puzzle, coffee/tea station and Gift Shop. The 1890 building has eight 2nd floor bedrooms. 7 with propane fireplace and 2 with double Jacuzzi jetted tub. Breakfast is served beautifully in this building on a bright sunporch dining room. The menu is large with egg choices and daily special. Buffets are set up with homemade granola with toppings and milk, fresh fruit and Greek yogurt. The Carriage House is a ground floor building behind the 1890 and a pretty walk through towering white pines. 5 king suites, 4 with double Jacuzzi and all 5 have propane fireplaces. The 5th bedroom is wheelchair assessable. Near Lake George and Saratoga Springs.

After cancelling a trip to Europe and then cancelling a trip within the United States (both due to Covid-19) my wife and I were eager to just get away for a few nights. We have loved the Adirondack Mountain region since we were children so we decided to find a B&B that had excellent reviews, was strategically located, and above all was taking the necessary precautions of having guests during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast did it all and then some! Linda and Gene (the Inn Keepers) were gracious hosts and ensured that all precautions necessary in this trying time were implemented. We felt completely safe and were treated like we were visiting family members being welcomed into their home. The accommodations are spotless, the breakfasts are varied, filling, and gourmet quality. We stayed in the Lilac Suite; king size bed (very comfortable), full bath (tub and shower), Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, wing back chairs for comfortable reading, and more than adequate lighting. In other words pure perfection. The breakfast area is spacious with many windows and tables that are spread out to maintain more than adequate social distancing. Overall we could not have asked for a better B&B to satisfy our need to "just get away and relax"; our thanks to Gene and Linda for a great three night stay. We will definitely be back!

28 years ago we were driving in the area and decided to stop in for a night's rest. Since then, we have been coming to the Lamplight Inn, multiple times a year for a romantic and cozy getaway. The service and quality is impeccable and their attention to detail is over the top. Their gourmet breakfast is unsurpassed and is equivalent to a Michelin star restaurant. Each room has a different theme with a fireplace that ensures a romantic experience during your stay. If you would like to experience a romantic getaway that takes you back in time with a modern spin, the Lamplight Inn the B&B of choice.

We had a delightful and memorable time! My fellow planned this romantic getaway for my birthday. We stayed in the Saratoga Suite with the fireplace, king size bed and jacuzzi. The room was
spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. I am not a breakfast person and love to sleep in but I jumped out of bed each morning so not to miss the sumptuous breakfast. Gene and Linda were friendly and engaging going out of their way to please and accommodate. The grounds while not huge, was adequate to sit in the gazbo or the Adirondack chairs. Make sure to peek in the gift shop. Linda and Gene worked their magic with my fellow to gift wrap the beautiful wine glasses in the gift shop that i expressed a liking for. The drive to Lake George is 15 minutes away. COVID precautions for wellness was above and beyond. Gene and Linda, looking forward to seeing you again. We will return.

Such an awesome and relaxing place. Gene and Linda take you in and treat you as one of their own. There has always been an exceptionally high standard for cleanliness at the Inn and it shows throughout the place. With current regulations, Linda and Gene have enacted even more procedures to ensure a safe trip for you and your partner. We have frequented this place many times and when visiting the Lake George/Queensbury area, I don’t want to stay anywhere else.

See you two again soon!

I'm so sorry that I did not see this review any sooner come in to me. Thank you for trusting us right after reopening from our Covid close down. I'm sure you have experienced my neurotic cleaning before Covid, but now I am even worse if that is possible. We just want our guests not to worry when they visit us, we have all been through a long hall and all need to have fresh air and breathe in nature.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast, conveniently located near many attractions and restaurants. The property is well maintained with plenty of parking. Our hosts Linda and Gene went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable providing us with wonderful breakfasts each morning. Our room was immaculate with a lot of amenities throughout. If you are visiting the Lake Luzerne/Lake George area, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

Staying at The Lamplight Inn B&B was an experience we will never forget. Our hosts Linda and Gene were extremely hospitable and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Our accommodations in the Carriage House were very comfortable and had all the amenities one could ask for. The main house was delightful and tastefully decorated. Gene’s breakfast was delicious with many selections to choose from. Linda’s baked goods every morning were a real treat. They adhered to all COVID19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of all their guests. We will definitely return to The Lamplight Inn and Lake Luzerne.

Thank you for the review. I usually am notified of reviews, but did not see the last 3 notifications come through. It is so nice to be appreciated during this very difficult time to travel. We have a difficult cleaning process in place down to zapping our rooms before cleaning with a UV light. With some changes in place, we did not want to touch a thing about our popular breakfast. I think this virus has made us all extra hungry. Come back again, and hopefully we will not need masks.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at the Lamplight Inn this past October. We stayed in the Lilac Suite, which had a lovely fireplace and Jacuzzi. The Inn is beautiful and everything is so meticulously arranged! Linda and Gene, and all the staff were so friendly and hospitable. The breakfasts were amazing! We loved walking around the surrounding area, which was so scenic and peaceful; there are several waterfalls nearby. My husband and I were also fortunate to experience the Rail Biking with Revolution Rail in Hadley on its opening weekend! We will definitely return to this Inn! Thank you Linda and Gene for a memorable weekend!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you got a chance to go on the Revolution Rail. That Company did a trial run in October on the tracks near us in Hadley to see if it would be successful. The scenic view of the Hudson over the train tressel is breathtaking. They will be back next season full time. Something to look forward to. Hope to see you again!!

This is a lovely, old home on a knoll overlooking the main road. The expansive large porch and perfectly manicured grounds are inviting. The staff is attentive and caring.

We stayed in the carriage house (wish we could've stayed in the main house), but it was cozy and well appointed. Upon entering the carriage house with its five or six guest rooms, there's a common area with an honor system snacks and refrigerator. Would have loved it, if there was a coffee/tea making area - as there wasn't anything of that type in the rooms. And after a day of sightseeing a nice 'cuppa' was needed.

Breakfast, which is so important when staying at a b&b, was very good ... generous portions and delicious. They plan to open it to the public and, if so, I recommend it. There's not much at all in the area for restaurants.

The guests all seemed to be returning guests and I can see why. It's a beautiful area and a lovely Inn.

These are lovely people who own a lovely place. The hospitality, and quality of this Inn are superb. If you want a truly special experience with your other half, and value the "Old school" feeling of a real B&B experience, then this is one of the best. We are definitely coming back. Linda and Gene are fabulous and they made our anniversary incredibly special.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend, what a beautiful place!
Our suite was spotless and a nice size for 2. The Jacuzzi was great.
As the weather was mild for December we were able to sit on our Deck for an hour or two, on one of the days.
The Innkeepers, Gene and Linda, are superb. Very helpful and welcoming...also Gene cooks a mean Omelette!!
This was the second winter we have stayed here, very highly recommended!!

Thank you for a wonderful review. I'm so happy you enjoyed your time at the Inn during 2020! COVID has us all nervous and exhausted, and my guests just want to get away from it all for a couple of days. Please come back to see us in 2021, and hopefully we all get the vaccine so we can get back to life.

There was no indication of any political affiliation during our stay there. Trump seems to be strong in the area (many Trump signs on lawns here and there, Trump bumper stickers on cars - I even saw a pickup flying a large confederate flag!) but there was nothing of the sort at the Inn. We had a great time.
