The hotel looks like it has seen much better times long ago. Our room had a bad smell and there were black dots which we are suspecting were mold or decay. A few minutes after entering the room my girlfriend started to have an allergic reaction. I myself don't have any allergies but i felt my nose running and had... More

Outside the building looks terrible, but inside you will be positively surprised.Spotlessly clean, ideal location. The rooms are really tiny, so do not bring a lot of luggage with you. The rest is perfect with good breakfast, WLAN etc, all you need for a short stay.

I'm not sure how I feel about this place, so I'll break it down: Positives: 1. Very clean - spotless, really! 2. Good location - though the town is so tiny that most every place would have a good location 3. Good quality tv - though I'm assuming you're not coming to Reunion for the tv Negatives: 1. Tiny room... When we arrived door of the hotel was closed/locked. We had a gsm number, but unfortunately our mobile phones did not work in la Reunion. Fortunately the lady of the restaurant below helped us and called. After a couple of minutes someone came to let us in. Nice room, clean, tried to decorate it nicely but not our taste. No... More

Very good value, comfortable B&B within easy walking distance of the centre of town. The proprietor served home made aperatifs in the evening which was an opportunity to meet the other guests. The proprietor was very helpful in suggesting walking routes and if I had not recovered from feeling unwell he would have gone out of his way to help... More

Nice place to stay in Cilaos, especially if you like hiking because the owners know everything about the island, and they are willing to share their knowledge and to help you every way they can. “Apéritifs” everyday at 18H30 where you can socialize with other tourists and taste all the varieties of rhum. For breakfast you have also excellent jams,... More

We stayed there for two nights. It's a really nice small hotel and the owner gave us a lot of information about the diffrent hikes in the Cirque of Cilaos. He is a passionate hiker and knows all the trails on the island very good. The room was small but clean and we could see the Piton des Neiges from... More

The Tourist Information Centre in Cilaos suggested this hotel and we were delighted. Bernard & Marie made us so welcome and although our French is poor we were able to communicate reasonably well. The rooms are very clean and freshly renovated and we had a closed in balcony where we could see the mountains and watch the afternoon cloud come... More
