Booked following the good reviews on line. I must have stayed in a room that had not been rated before, the hotel has lots of old charm about it and the lady on the front desk was very nice. there is no lift and it made it very hard getting luggage upto the first floor. Room needed modernising and didnt...

This is a quaint old hotel. Very nostalgic and the German old world charm was just fantastic. We ate dinner at their restaurant, a limited menu, but it was very satisfactory. After dinner we sat in their sitting room in front of the fireplace enjoying a cocktail and relaxing for the evening. The beds are very comfortable. I believe they...

Step back in time to this historic hotel. It's quaint, comfortable and clean. You've got everything you need including a very homey feeling lobby with a working fireplace. The rooms are average size and clean. Fresh towels every day. The wallpaper and decoration represent the period of the hotel rather than a more modern design. It's within easy walking distance...

I cannot recommend staying at this hotel. I was appalled by the condition of my room. The floors were dirty, the wall paper peeling, cob webs, damaged furniture and the list goes on. There was no proper heating and our room was freezing. There was a rolling space heater. It took 5 minutes for the hot water to come on....

It is an unusual place, very comfortable, greatest bed ever, Jill, owner, is very pleasant and helpful. With some major renovations it would be terrific, the decor is tired and needs some cleaning, our room was comfortable but walking the stairs was tedious and the only place for wifi was in the first floor lounge room. After climbing the stairs...

We arrived about 1 in the afternoon after driving for 5 hours with a toddler, only to find a sign on the desk that no one was available until 3 pm for check-in. Once we went back, was informed that there was no elevator, but someone could help with luggage as they had a service elevator. Our room was on...

We stayed with several friends recently and had a great time. From the moment you enter the front door you sense that old-world charm with a Bavarian flare that this hotel captures. Warm, rustic, inviting. Greeted by the owner Jill and immediately felt welcomed. Rooms were very clean, memory foam bed was perfect. Temperature was very cold outside but rooms...

What a pretty throw back to an earlier time. The Pines Inn was originally built around 1910. Its old its quaint but best of all its a mom and pop operation. Jill and Frank run the Pines basically single handed. They work hard keeping this century old hotel running. You see them doing everything. Front desk, housekeeping, building maintenance, bookkeeping,...
