Beautiful location but terrible service the staff are lazy and laid back they are clueless about hospitality or customer' services. The rooms are small with basic local wooden furniture and the TV is on the long gone era which is not working even the wires are unplugged and no phones in the rooms and the toilets were full of ants and... It looks like this hotel used to be one of the good hotels in Pemba in the past years, but now is no longer good and not value for money. Apart from sea side and beach nothing else was good, inside the room / toilet was terrible nothing works or functioning properly. The least thing was television also not working... More

We stayed in this resort for 3 nights and the location is beautiful but the quality of the property is so poor that we nearly checked out. We were shown to our room which only just fits the double bed n nothing else . In the tiny bathroom there were so many dead ants that we asked to have another... More

After looking forward to our 3 day getaway at the self proclaimed most luxurious resort in Pemba, the Misali Sunset Beach Resort, we were eternally grateful to our wonderful travel agent who managed to bring our return flight forward and limit our Misali experience to 1 night only. Upon arrival at Pemba Airport, despite having prepaid the Resorts US$25 transfer... More

Pemba Misali is a good basic hotel in Pemba which is hard to come by. Rooms are nice, food very good and service from restaurant and housekeeping fantastic. Easy to arrange excursions for snorkeling and diving and site seeing from the hotel which makes life very easy. Beach is small but very pleasant and the restaurant over the way is... More

Pemba island offers very few options in terms of accommodation and dive centres. Pemba Misali is one that is located centrally, close to town and close to the very beautiful Misali island (great for picnics, snorkelling and wandering) and dive spots. It has small yet comfortable rooms, with all the amenities you could want, TV, cable, wifi, AC, fan, water... More

We visited during low season when the weather is unpredictable. The place had few guests and was pretty quiet. Our room facing the sea was basic but okay. The food in the dining area was surprisingly good, with some tasty local dishes. Once we got the bored staff away from the daytime TV, they were charming and friendly, and service... More

Really nice accomodation, especially considered you're not on the more well-known Zanzibar. The position is in the centre of the island. Clean and beautiful room with a porch. Also the bathroom is nice. Spectacular view from the rooms and from the beach. Helpful staff, especially a guy named Nicholas.

I have stayed at Misali Beach twice while traveling for business this year. I love the spectacular views of the water, local boats working, and the serene setting. The rooms have been clean and comfortable, with good AC. Each sits directly along the beach walk. This isn't a pricey tourist resort, it is a little gem that is great for... More

This is a modest, but clean and VERY friendly hotel, a bit outside of Chake-Chake, bordering a mangrove swamp. There are few European guests (in fact, I was the only one for a day, last week, in mid-November). The perfect place for a few days in nature. The place lives up to its name: The sunset is spectacular! Don't expect... More
