We had a lovely stay at the inn. The views were wonderful, the inn keepers were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. It was a little outside of town, which we wanted. The views and remote location made us really feel like we were away from it all. Thanks for a nice getaway!

The place itself is nice and pretty much as described. The location is not ideal. It does have a view of the lake in the distance which is nice but it requires a decent drive to get into Ithaca or to other places we wanted to go. Also, the host was not overly accommodating. We could not get the jacuzzi... More

Wonderful hospitality, food, and conversation. Lovely Mediterranean-esque surroundings...unparalleled view of the lake. The proprietors share their passion for art, antiquities, and gardens. The rooms are clean and breezy with lovely views of the lake. The proprietors were very attentive to guests without being intrusive. The meals were an event in themselves; beautifully presented; and making use of produce and flowers... More

Were booked this based on reviews of a great welcome and wonderful setting. These are true. Unfortunately they are not sufficient to warrant the expense, the lack of client focus and the very small breakfast, with no choice. Diane and Tony are great. However, having to get the coffee machine for our room from the main house, a non functional... More

We arrived early and Diane met us in the foyer. She gave us a tour of the lovely accommodations and we decided to have dinner at the Lakefront Inn. Tony and Diane made us a excellent dinner. It was all very organic and not what you would have at any restaurant. An absolutely wonderful experience.

My husband and I stayed in the “premiere” room. It sits on the top floor of the three story house. I wouldn’t call it lakefront, although you can see the lake from the window and the view is impressive. The minute we walked in the room, we were disappointed. It was small and lacked a lot of the comforts you’d... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn during Move-In Weekend at the local Universities and colleges because there were no other rooms available. What luck for us. The setting is wonderful, our room could not have been more comfortable and interesting, and the host, Diane a delight. We stayed in the Villa which came with a balcony and a... More

This is a lovely getaway location. Diane is very nice and welcoming. The view of the lake is gorgeous! The rooms are beautiful, nicely decorated and clean. Free breakfast is delicious but pretty small portions are given.

The location of this inn is private and with pleasant views. The owner is extremely nice and truly wants you to enjoy your stay. Problems arise when/if you have food allergies. There is no option for breakfast. So if you are wheat or lactose intolerant, be prepared to be buying breakfast soon after you leave the property. The first morning... More

My husband and I spent an amazing, seldom had weekend alone in The Lakefront Inn while visiting Ithaca recently. I found the Inn on another site and called to book it immediately. Diane was warm and friendly and reserving the room was effortless. Afterward I read reviews on Trip Advisor and, like another traveler said, I became a little worried...... More

“The room with a balcony is really the best”

“We chose the courtyard room, partly in the interest of economy and partly because we booked late and there was little else left, but we LOVED it. it's amply spacious, but still has a very cozy feel. However, in the season in which we traveled (early summer), it did have a slightly damp feel, which didn't surprise us because (a) the room had almost a cellar feel to it (though with beautiful French doors opening onto a patio), and (b) we did not choose to run the dehumidifier. NB, We saw two of the three other rooms in the house, including the most amazing top-floor room (incredible views, beautiful bathroom with skylights), and noticed that those were hotter than our very naturally cool room. (Hot air does rise, after all.) Speak with owner Diane to discuss your preferences; she'll help you find a room that suits you.”
