I like to research Tripadvisor before making reservations, but when I booked a stay at the Lakefront Inn I did not do this for some reason. When I read some of the reviews, I wondered what I was getting myself into, and I actually thought of canceling and getting a hotel. How glad I am that I didn't--we would have...

We really enjoyed our afternoons on the deck overlooking the lake, sipping our wine. It was extremely relaxing! The rooms were beautiful decorated, and made us feel like we were a million miles from home. It was very convenient location to get into Ithaca, to visit wineries and to see amazing waterfalls.

Nice location from Syracuse and close to Ithaca. House is friendly and views are spectacular. Pick up some finger lakes wine and sit on the patio overlooking Cayuga lake. Takes 3 days to see the falls and gorges in the area.

Stumbled upon this unassuming hamlet high above Seneca Lake. We drove up on an impossibly crowded weekend in May daring ourselves to find lodging at the last minute. We called to see if they had anything left, and to our luck, they were opening a newly remodeled villa on the same property. We were the first to stay in a...

I stayed at The Lakefront Inn and it was just lovely. I stayed in the French room and we had a wonderful view of the lake. The beds were comfy, the bathroom and all facilities were very clean. Breakfast was delicious. I so enjoy my conversations with Diane, who is the owner of the Inn, she is just so warm...

I stayed at the Inn for 2 nights and wished there was a third. I will definitely return and recommend to friends. The Service at Lake front is personal, the proprietor Diane is friendly, warm, attentive and lovely, the staff is equally welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and consists of fresh local produce and ingredients. The Inn itself is very...

My boyfriend and I have stayed at the LakeFront Inn numerous times and loved it! All the rooms we've stayed in have beautiful views, a luxurious feel, and of course Diane is a kind, fun, and absolutely delightful person! Breakfast is tasty, well-plated, and the staff are friendly/helpful too. This visit we went on a private wine tour, which they...

I am amazed at any of the bad reviews of this place, are you sure you stayed at the same place?? Not only was everything eclectic and unique, it was clean and beautifully attuned to any welcoming open minded traveler. Diane and Peggy were amazing hosts and took very good care of my girlfriend and myself. The views are breathtaking...

My wife and i just got back from a short vacation. We were surprised by the place, website and photos doesnt really reflect the place authenticity and serenity. Its not a 5 stars hotel , but its like 10 stars when it comes to staff.

This was a great experience. The owner was not there a lot so it gave you the personal space that you would want when going to a Bed and Breakfast, but if you had any questions she was always available by phone. I usually am a picky person when it comes to places that I stay at, but this was...

“The room with a balcony is really the best”

“We chose the courtyard room, partly in the interest of economy and partly because we booked late and there was little else left, but we LOVED it. it's amply spacious, but still has a very cozy feel. However, in the season in which we traveled (early summer), it did have a slightly damp feel, which didn't surprise us because (a) the room had almost a cellar feel to it (though with beautiful French doors opening onto a patio), and (b) we did not choose to run the dehumidifier. NB, We saw two of the three other rooms in the house, including the most amazing top-floor room (incredible views, beautiful bathroom with skylights), and noticed that those were hotter than our very naturally cool room. (Hot air does rise, after all.) Speak with owner Diane to discuss your preferences; she'll help you find a room that suits you.”
