Detailed Reviews

This is the most disgusting place I have ever slept... First of all, the front desk attendant ignored us to finish her cigarette when we arrived... The place was crawling with junkies and homeless people.. The pool was closed on a 90 degree day (probably a good thing seeing as nothing was cleaned in the entire establishment... Room reeked of weed and cigarettes.. There was hair in the bath tub, huge spiders on the floor, white stains on the floor, blood on the sheets.. Etc etc etc. Someone dropped off my receipt under my door at night with all of my personal info on it- anyone walking by could have grabbed it- and this was done at midnight for some reason??? I never right reviews but WOW.. This place is the WORST.. Needs to be shutdown.
The manager must have seen my review on Kyak.com...he called me yesterday and listened to everything I said, only to say "Next time you visit here I will give you a discount"... LOL, are you kidding??? Staying here should be a challenge on Fear Factor and you would have to pay me. I want my money back, not another gross adventure....I will never stay in a Days Inn again...If you are looking for an inexpensive motel- I suggest Motel 6..always clean, Ive never had a bad stay.

I'm actually a former employee at this days inn, housekeeper. Working here was horrible, first of all they gave me toilet bowl cleaner and told me to use it to clean the whole bathroom, Vacumes that didn't work, no carpet cleaners, windex to clean everything else, and no bleach products. I Stopped working because first I'm 32 weeks pregnant and they had me doing housekeeping and janitor work, plus I didn't feel safe cleaning poop and intimate products out of rooms with no proper cleaning products. Oh and housekeeping doesn't read or speak English so if u leave a note asking for extra bath rags like guy did, you might get just that, dirty cleaning rags.

The first clue should have been when I noticed the juvenile jail across the street. Were it not 11:00 at night and I had no place else to stay before my 7:00 a.m. flight, I would have kept going. When I first arrived and went inside, the staff was less than interested in the fact that a customer was checking in and was unable to give me any idea where to find a place to get a late night meal. I ended up finding quick food with the aid of my GPS. The room was disgusting. It is the only time I have ever removed the sheets to see if there were bugs visible on a mattress. I slept in street type clothes because I didn't want to have any more of my skin in contact with the sheets than absolutely necessary. Had originally intended to use their airport shuttle and after I saw this place decided I wouldn't risk leaving my car with them for any time at all. I had read some questionable reviews for the place before I reserved a room and said to myself, that can't really be true..... I mean, Days Inn is a national chain. How bad could it really be? It was simply AWFUL. It may be near the airport but in hindsight, I should have slept in the car!

Where do I start? Bugs in room, trash under the bed, dirty ring and hairs in bathtub, air conditioner was subpar. Just nasty experience. Never again.

Where to begin...
How this place is open to the public, I do not even know. I know you get what you pay for, but this is unreal, you should get paid- to sleep a night in the filth. The carpets inside the rooms are not fit for an outside deck, The spider webs and dirt inside the room and filthy bathroom almost makes you feel like you are being taped in an old Scooby-Doo cartoon or a future episode of COPS. I know in this day in age many people are in the midst of hard times, so I hope this does not come across wrong. As we pulled up we were not sure if we had the right place because it looked really rundown. It appears to be a home from some people, as we seen many groups of people that could pass as bums in the train station, hanging out, smoking weed and CRACK-yes CRACK, drinking and having a good old time outside their rooms and in the paring lot. (Some doors where wide open so you can look in and see how the rooms were set up,it was not for a visit of a night or two). We get back to the hotel that night try to wash up and the sink broke right off the vanity as soon as the water was turned on, causing a small flood and forcing us to use our towels to sop up the mess. No one was around to bring new ones or fix the sink until the morning. Now this was at midnight when this happened, after a night out of having a few drinks and 6 hours away from home- so we were forced to stay. After we ask to speak to a manager, this guy comes out with some stupid remark that we should have drove off and left even if we had been drinking. if we thought the place was dirty. The guy clearly has fights with angry customers all day long and seemed on edge. There was a family and 2 bikers also complaining about dirty rooms as we were leaving. This place is barely a place to stay if you are homeless or on government assistance, which seems to be how it stays open. Do not plan on using the pool, as it looks to be out of service for years.

This Days Inn is the most uncleanly hotel I've EVER stayed in. I complained to the front desk & called them later that day & I was told that the cleaning woman went to the front desk to have the receptionist look at it & that she put "BLUE STUFF" in the toilet it &" THE SHOWER". Well when I got back after work the microwave that was put in my room was still covered with red spots allover the front & the toilet had urine, hair, black mold where it connects to the toilet & hair under the lid, the shower had blue streaks where she did NOT wipe SOAP SCUM RESIDUE on the walls & soap holder.
This all happened after I went to the front desk & asked the receptionist to look at it & SHE was disgusted & told the manager, nothing changed. I called Days Inn corporate the told me to call back in 7 days if nothing changed, it DID NOT so I called corporate back & I was told that it was "INDAVIDUALLY OWNED" & they could not do anything about it.
So I got a voicemail message from Nemit Patal (sp?)the manager & was told that I had to LEAVE the hotel because I called corporate. It's owned by people from India & the husband & wife who cleaned it LIVE THERE & probably aren't legal to be here in America so I left.
NOBODY WHO WANTS TO STAY IN A CLEAN HOTEL SHOULD EVER STAY THERE.

Long story short, we went to FIVE different rooms before we found one that was suitable to stay in. The first one the door was wide open when we got there, the second had urine in the toilet and dirty towels, the third had not been cleaned at all, and in the forth the shower was in the process of being repaired with peices and parts all over the bathroom floor. The fifth one had at least been cleaned and there was not pee in the toilet, but the TV was from the 1970's, I wouldn't dare walk in the bathroom in barefeet and there were stains all over the desk and bed side table. Could not wait to get out of there.

I think I would opt to camp before staying at this Ramada again. We were there last week for 2 nights while attending a family funeral in Troy. We had to book last minute so a lot of our first choices were already sold out and we were not looking to spend a ton of money with this being an unexpected trip. We found this Ramada online. We had low expectations going in due to the price of the room but even with low expectations we were not prepared for what we got. This place is old, run down, filthy dirty, trash everywhere, cobwebs hanging from ceiling in room, broken furniture, burnt out light bulbs, sopping wet carpet by the sink, and very dusty. It felt like a step above a homeless shelter. Looked like many people were living there on a regular basis- kind of sad. A few rooms had grills out in front of the room. I killed a cockroach in the bathroom in the a.m.. The dumpster right in front of the rooms was overflowing, looked like it had not been emptied in several weeks. I was there with other family members, we had 4 rooms total and everybody's room was terrible. We did not feel safe at this place either, my sister and I were ready to share a room even though we had pre-paid for our own rooms we felt that unsafe. Both of my sisters were certain they saw a rat running across the lobby floor at different times! Ramada should be ashamed to have their name attached to this place. Even if you think you can "handle anything for just one night" go somewhere else. This is an unbearable place to stay.

Showed up and immediately thought this hotel was condemned. After finding the front desk we checked in and immediately got a refund at checking our room. Do not stay here it should be condemned! This isn't a hotel by any means!!! Not very safe at all!!

Garbage all over the hotel lobby and outside - took an hour to get room keys and when we went in the room it was trashed, not too mention no towels/toilet paper in our other room that was dirty but at least not trashed. We didn't stay!
