I am having a hard time understanding why several people wrote negative reviews recently. I found my stay great and I was at the hotel for two weeks, the room was very clean, very spacious, and the amenities were amazing. The staff was very accommodating to me and my two dogs and even provided me a room near an exit door at my request so I can take them out with ease. There was a hot breakfast with a large variety every morning that included eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, bagels and more - and the coffee and juice station was available all day. There was a very large smart TV in the room with all the apps for me to log into. Also, any time I ordered any type of delivery I had no issues and there are many restaurants nearby to order from, food was always delivered right to my hotel room door.

I would like to commend the front desk staff, they were very accommodating to any request I had. I would specifically like to thank Tiffanie the front desk manager, she was amazing in handling my requests at check in and at check out. She was so friendly, understanding and communicative with everything I needed (she also works amazingly long hours!). There should be more people like her as managers and she should be commended on how she handles guests by people staying at the hotel and by her management as well. I witnessed her going above and beyond for other guests too.

I know people in previous comments have complained about the smell of cigarettes and maybe other smoking devices but I do have to point out that is not something the staff can control. They were very aware if there was any odor in corridors and worked immediately to rectify it.

I would suggest any future guest to stay here and not take into consideration negative reviews that I do not believe hold merit. I witnessed rooms that were destroyed by guests and the cleaning and management crew doing everything they can to clean and make it perfect without complaint for the next hotel guest.

I’ll start by saying if you are a family with young kids, I would avoid staying here at all costs.

The staff was nice, rooms were a good size and the free breakfast every morning was great.

BUT the other people staying here have made this the trip from hell. The hotel STINKS of weed. The hallways, stairwells and right by each exit doors because so many people are standing right in front of them smoking. There has been so many inconsiderate people - super loud, slamming doors, running up and down the hallways from 12-2am. We met another family who checked out early because they couldn’t handle it and honestly I wish we did the same.

The other thing I really didn’t like was how gross the pull out couch was. There were stains all over the couch and on the mattress itself. I sprayed it with Lysol and wiped it down 3 times before I even felt comfortable to let my daughter sleep on it.

it was ok, and it could be better, dont just look for the money make the experience where people want to come back. you have to get new beds and get someone to come in and cook the breakfast instead of the food being pre packed. you not thinking of people dietary issues

My 1st time at a La Quinta and I will never return. It’s Ghetto. The 2nd FL hall smelled like weed, the walls are thin you can hear water run from other rooms taking a shower, flushing the toilet, and using sink, you can hear walking above you, tv’s, music from other rooms and people talking. There was a fight outside at 6:00am a woman was screaming at a man named “Billy” threatening to hit him. I tried to call the front desk, but my room phone was disconnected, I never felt so unsafe at a hotel before. The pool and weight room were overrun by unaccompanied children. The floors inside and outside the elevators were always wet. The breakfast had one waffle machine with many people standing and waiting. Cereal with unrefrigerated milk. Burnt coffee. If you came late for coffee it was cold. The front desk woman didn’t ask us about our stay at check out as if they know they must receive plenty of complaints. The worst part was the room itself, it was absolutely disgusting. Stains on ceilings, walls, couch, sheets, towels, and even the TV. The zipper sheet on bottom of box bed was completely covered in stains and weird dark cuz balls. It’s obvious they don’t clean walls, bed, dust, or clean the carpets. Hire new cleaning staff. There was no “Do not disturb sign” female Housekeeping kept knocking. Broken door handle for closet, no vent in bathrooms. You can hear Everything and from everyone. They need security in the parking lot. It was shady at night and unsafe. People smoking in cars and having fights. Potholes in parking lot, unprofessional looking workers. It was a nightmare. Do not pay more than $70 a night here. It’s not worth it. I have 19 photos of evidence but can only post 10, but believe me it’s not worth it.

When we returned to our room after being out all day, we realized that no one had made up the room - no clean towels, no fresh soaps, etc., no made bed, no vacuuming, no emptying of the two trash cans, the room had not been touched, except that the few dollars we left as a tip had been taken. Imagine how we felt after a long day spent outside in the heat to see this. We were so disappointed.

My husband went down to the front desk to obtain some towels, etc., and was told that they expected a lot of complaints because one housekeeper called in sick and another left early. While I understand that things happen and housekeeping is a sucky job, the hotel management should have taken some action to remedy the situation. Staff on site should have at least proactively delivered fresh towels and a personal apology of some sort to the guests whose rooms were not cleaned. Hotel management totally failed here. I don't think they understand hospitality. The onus was on the staff on duty to make it right and they failed entirely to do their jobs. Even high level executives in other industries have filled in doing menial jobs when their staffs are out, but here, no one thought that their duty to their guests merited any special action.

The next morning, while sitting in the chairs by the front desk waiting for me to come down for breakfast, my spouse observed another guest waiting to check out or address some issue and the front desk person, a man, was carrying on a personal conversation with another staff member in full view of guests while ignoring their presence. The front desk person even made eye contact with the other guest as he was having this personal conversation, but continued to ignore the fact that he had a guest standing there waiting for him. This is such poor customer service - it says that the staff doesn't care about the guests or the business.

Some of the staff is in dire need of training that emphasizes appropriate hospitality practices and proper customer service.

We are staying at this property again for parents' weekend at RPI. Without significant improvement, this will be our last visit and we will also relate this saga to other RPI parents who ask for recommendations for accommodations.

Let me begin by stating that we have been staying here for the last 15 years on our trip north from Florida. We have always been satisfied. This stay however beyond disappointing. Upon check in we asked for a room towards the back of the hotel and away from ice machines. The young lady at the desk took 5 minutes before she came up with a room. I told her that this room was near the front and wouldn't be satisfactory as we would hear the airplanes. She said go and look which I did. Not only was it near the front but very near the ice machine. BTW this was on the second floor and the one elevator was out of order. I went back down and explained the situation and now I was given a room on the 3rd floor and once again had to carry my luggage up.
At 5:45 am an alarm clock went off across the hall in an unoccupied room. Needless to say it woke us up. It kept ringling until 6:10am when somehow it stopped. Exhaustion anybody? Breakfast was another disaster, The hot food was stone cold. The waffle mix was liquidity and as a result ran out of the waffle maker. The bananas were over ripe. I spoke to the desk person about our complaints and was told that the manager would call us after 11 am. It is now 9:00 pm and no one has contacted us. The back door to the hotel which has always been locked was always open and didn't need the hotel key to enter. Anyone could have walked up off the street and entered. Definitely lack of security. Cannot say how disappointing this stay was.

I feel compelled to write a review so someone doesn’t end up staying here like we did. Booked through Hotwire but needed a room for 3 adults. We were given a room with one queen bed and a jacuzzi tub. They moved us to the only room that was left (apparently) which had two double beds but no air conditioning at all and the phone didn’t work to even be able to call the front desk about it. On our way to the room the elevator floor had a caution sign covering up vomit—and the sign was still there this morning but still not cleaned. We had one towel in our room and no shampoo or conditioner. My husband went to the desk in the morning to get the items and no one was at the desk at 8 am—just a sign saying they stepped away. Everything about this hotel seemed sketchy and not clean. Extremely unhappy—have stayed at other LaQuinta’s without any issues. This hotel
Is giving all of them a bad name.

10 year return guest. Hallway carpeting filthy. Washer/dryers not working. Exercise equip not working. Pool access key only avail at front desk…seems that front desk has only one person on duty per shift so many guests waiting to get into pool area …leak in ceiling above pool area. Hot tub unavailable. Left 2 shirts behind, they promised to return shirts (I would pay) but after 3 weeks of calls still no shirts…asked many times to speak with the manager…the manager is NEVER available. Breakfast choices minimal…front desk person also in charge of b’fast so many items were not replenished and coffee urns were often empty. There seems to be only one hotel staff on duty at the desk at any time. Very sad to see what has become of this property.

The only reason it gets 1 star is becuase I can not make it 0. My stay was terrible! Hotel was a mad house, kids jumping on couches in the lobby and running around no one doing anything to stop them. The pool and hot tub were less than acceptable for any brand. Hot tub water was cloudy obviously chemicals out of wack. In the pool area we’re towels and clothes thrown everywhere with no one cleaning up anything. There was a used razor sitting on one of the chairs in the pool area which my daughter almost sat on. We notified the front desk and they removed it but later said it had no blade in the razor. Kids in the pool were using the rescue rings as floats. Kids unsupervised in the pool area. The whole second floor smelt like marijuana. I am just very disappointed with my stay, I’ve stayed at La Quinta before and feel this hotel has fallen off the grid since there is one just miles up the road in a lot better condition. Breakfast was terrible as well, toaster was broken and eggs were cold even though it had just opened absolutely the worse experience.

I’m writing this at 12:18am after multiple calls to the front desk that had done nothing to tame the circus in room above me for the last hour and a half. I travel often for business and have stayed at this hotel several times and have each time has been worse than the time before. The clientele here seems to be unfavorable and you can expect to hear barking dogs at all hours as well as continually smell marijuana all throughout the property. The housekeeping is horrible. Upon checking in, there is a chair in the room which I am almost certain is stained with human feces. Much of the staff is rude and clearly has no clue about the hospitality industry. I will not be staying here again in the future.

How far is the track?

25 miles. Should take half-hour to get there. Suggest heading North on 9 for about 1/2 mile then turn LEFT, then immediate RIGHT to enter I-87 North. Traffic very heavy Northbound after about 2pm on weekdays.
