I stayed here at the last minute as it seemed more interesting than the local Holiday Inn, and I wasn't disappointed. The owner offered to give us a tour of the property which has a fascinating history, and the rooms are decorated in full fin de siecle style. Breakfast was included and was so much better than at a chain...

We stayed here after a local wedding, the mansion is beautiful. It had been abandoned about 10 years ago and it is great to see it looking so good. Mick and Maggie were relaxed and pleasant hosts, and were kind enough to give a tour from basement to roof top, as well as allow us to invite several family members...

The Overlook is reached by weaving through a few side streets, then going up a steep drive and making a hair pin turn into the final assent to the property. A smidge confusing to find, but not terribly difficult. Unload your bags at the house, then park your car a bit off to the side. It is a fascinating place,...

I can't say enough good things about this place. The property, inside and out, was beautiful, and the owners were great hosts. We had some great conversations, and they cooked a phenomenal breakfast. They gave us a tour of the property, which was highly interesting and informative. The mansion is within 15 minutes of another great location, Beardslee Castle, which...

Wife surprised me with this stay after a Syracuse game. We never stayed in a mansion and this in itself was a unique experience. Room was huge and bedding high quality. Host was a great conversationalist which we always appreciate. He welcomed us with a drink from the bar and cooked a truly gourmet breakfast the next morning. Being up...

Mick and Maggie make this a perfect setting. Both are highly intelligent and engaged conversationalists. Stunning views from a turn of the last century building that has been refurbished like a beautiful model T. You absolutely cannot eat more ultra fresh food anywhere on the planet. They grow their own vegetables and produce their own juices for a perfect 10...

Went to Overlook Mansion for 2 day getaway. This place did not disappoint. The first thing you do is drive a hill and are overwhelmed by the sight of the mansion. The hosts Mic and Maggie were gracious hosts that make you feel like you live there. Once inside you can feel the history. We stayed in Gold room with...

I stayed for 2 nights this weekend. I was on a rock hound trip to look for Herkimer diamonds. The mansion is well maintained and has wonderful woodwork, windows and fireplaces. The location high on a hill overlooking the town is awesome. I stayed in the sapphire room with a feeling of comfortable surroundings which led to a good nights...
