This year was the second year I've had the pleasure of staying at the Margaretville Mountain Inn in mid-October. The house itself is a gorgeous Victorian with a rich history. The owners are friendly and hospitable, making you feel welcome and at home. The food is amazing, if French toast is a choice on the menu, I implore you not... More

I was in the mood for a Fall getaway.. The Inn is beautiful, wonderful hostess and the scenery is gorgeous this time of year! Very relaxing environment to unwind, quiet locale, with large, lovely comfy porch. Delicious Home-made waffles, bacon and eggs cooked to order. Large bed, I stayed in the Birch Room and really enjoyed it!

About sums up my feelings about this BandB. There is a lovely, spacious front porch which was enjoyed. Our room was small and crowded with nicknacks to the point that we had little space for our belongings. The bed had a slight slope. The bathroom was large and had ample space for brushes, etc, but the toilet seat rocked. Breakfast... More

Hello, so sorry your experience was not what you dreamed of. I'm sorry small points missing made your experience poor whatever that means. The toilet seat was checked out after you complained while checking out and found there to be nothing wrong. Two stars seems awfully harsh for someone who did enjoy the other small points of the house. Ciao,... More

Beautiful, quiet locale, with large, lovely comfy porch. Delicious breakfasts-eggs cooked to order. Large bed, small room (Oak Room), with a wardrobe (no shelves), and no dresser. Coffee maker in common room, but never filled with water, and no access to water on that floor [main]. It should be filled at all times, right? Otherwise it is of no use... More

Glad you enjoyed you stay. To point out a few things the wardrobe has drawers not selves if you needed it.There is an electric hot water pot in the room with coffee singles and teas.If you want a full pot of coffee or morning coffee it is made available upon request. Most people use the pot in their room and... More

Stayed at the inn on the way north. The whole place immediately brings a sense of peace-- the views, the inn itself, and the wonderful innkeepers. Also had the best French toast I've ever eaten. Will definitely stay again.

We overnighted at tis delightful B&B on tghe way to the 50th convention of Stein Collectors International in Corning, NY. Owner Carol Molnar greeted us, helped these old folks get our luggage up the stairs to the Lavender Room. Originally built in 1890 the old place has been maintained splendidly. Everything was clean and sparkling. We enjoyed talking with Carol... More

We arrived at the inn as scheduled, rang the doorbell, and the innkeeper asked very rudely what we wanted. I said we had a reservation and were here to check in. She screamed at me "you are NOT staying here." I explained that my daughter also had a reservation for another room and would be arriving shortly. Her response was... More

As I stated to the rest of your family I will not dignify myself by responding to reviews that are vindictive and have an agenda. This is deplorable and you need to look inside yourself to see what really is bothering you. I feel sorry for you and God bless, Carol More

The only good thing about this place is the breakfast and the beautiful location. The most rude, impolite, non-welcoming B&B we've ever stayed at. Any request is met with a snide remark or comment. The beds are awful, the a/c doesn't work well (and they will come into your room and turn it down when you're not in there) and... More
