We recently spent a few nights at the Danskammer House and had a wonderful stay. Ken and Linda were wonderful hosts sharing knowledge of places to visit in the area, restaurants, and cideries. It seemed there was no question we asked for which they didn't have excellent answers. The room was on the second floor, well-appointed and very comfortable. The common areas were beautiful and well equipped for low-key relaxation. We will definitely be back!

We haven't been to a B&B in several years and am so glad we chose this one. The house is well appointed with art work pertinent to the area. We stayed in the Durand Suite on the 1st floor. Linda and Ken are warm and inviting hosts. The yard is lovely with a Zen Garden leading to the town and the perfect place to sit only second to the perfect front porch. Breakfast is beyond delicious starting with local yogurt and granola parfait. The area is quiet and residential but easy to get to wineries and farm stands. We highly recommend staying here.

We originally selected the Danskammer House based upon its proximity. It turned out to be the perfect weekend away. The history of the house is fascinating. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast and afternoon tea are abundant and delicious. The owners, Linda and Ken Cool, are friendly and are a wealth of helpful information. The house is located walking distance from the Raccoon Saloon and the Falcon which made for a lovely evening. We totally recommend the Danskammer House. It’s a perfect place to relax and nicely situated for several day trips.

We spent four nights at Danskammer during our Hudson River Valley road trip, and loved our stay. Our room ("Sanford Gifford") was spacious and tastefully furnished, with a super comfortable king bed and modern/updated bathroom. It also featured a great river view. Ken and Linda were fabulous hosts, full of knowledge about the history and points of interest in the area. They were very warm and easy to be around. Breakfast was delicious -- and very filling -- featuring some of the best coffee we experienced during our three week trip. The location is a perfect jumping off point for touring Hyde Park/FDR/Vanderbilt, Storm King Art Center, DIA Beacon, Manitoga, etc. We give Danskammer House our highest recommendation!!

Danskammer House offers a very special way to visit the Hudson Valley. It’s close to FDR’s home and museum as well as many other cultural attractions. You can make a reservation for dinner at the nearby Culinary Institute or close by in Marlboro. The innkeepers, Linda and Ken are amazing hosts who will go out of their way to please and make sure your stay is perfect. They serve tea and snacks in the afternoon between 4 and 5 and an absolutely fabulous breakfast made with true love and farm fresh ingredients. The rooms all contain fine furniture, great beds, and comfortable bathrooms. The house has three levels with great places to read, relax, or watch. TV. There are fabulous views of the Hudson and you can watch the sunrise. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely B & B with rooms overlooking the Hudson River. The owners are so warm and friendly and are happy to share a wealth of information about the area ranging from restaurant recommendations to locations of hiking trails, history of the area to top venues for live music. The breakfasts and afternoon tea snacks were absolutely delicious! We highly recommend and will definitely return!

Linda & Ken were the best. The room was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious both days of our stay and the afternoon tea was so nice to have. The baked goods were scrumptios thanks to Linda. Ken had so much history on the area and was a delight to listen to. He also had plenty of recommendations for area restaurants. Would definitely go back and would recommend this place to everyone.

A beautiful old house, which has been lovingly restored by the very friendly owners, Linda and Ken. They have a vast knowledge of the local area. Breakfast each morning was a delight with every dish using local ingredients. Home baked biscuits for afternoon tea were a delight.

Where do I start? My husbad and I had such a lovely stay at this beautiful b&b. It was a perfect getaway weekend trip. The amazing and friendly innkeepers welcomed us and made our stay incredibly comfortable and nice. The house is lovely with its unique history and many stories. The room and bathroom were nicely renovated. We stayed at Innes room and our room was actually more beautiful than I expected from the photos on the website :) Breakfasts were so delicious that honestly I would go only for a breakfast every weekend if they let me pay for it :) You can appreciate that this b&b is being very well taken care of by the innkeepers themselves. I loved the fact that there’s so much space in the house where you can hang out and chill. Loved the common area at the top(attic), and also loved the front porch and the backyard tables. Everything was just perfect seriously. I can’t wait to go back again.
