This place IS the Rustic Kitchy experience it claims to be. If you don't want that, you WON'T be happy. Our room was clean, funky, charming and warm. The kitchen was great. The location is in the middle of three great Catskill towns but not in any of them - so it was quiet and well located. The management were...

We stayed one night at Lazy Meadow in October 2009. Our friends stayed in a two bedroom in the motel with kitchen and working fireplace. My wife stayed in a one bedroom with two kids and I stayed in the "Tiki" aerostream RV down by the river. The motel rooms are okay, you have to know what to expect. The...

This place might have been cool and funky when it opened 5 years ago, but no upkeep over the years is evident. Besides the occasional tattered towel, and holes in the rope rugs, the room amenities promised were not in evidence either. Website promises fixins for kitchen and cocktails... I guess that does not include a working corkscrew, because there...

I suprised my husband for our anniversary with two nights here and then two nights in Boston. The only reason I stayed here was because it was owned by Kate Pierson. We showed up on a Wednesday night in November. This place is in the middle of nowhere, but the land it sits on is beautiful. The first night we...

We stayed at Kate's for 2 nights in the summer of 2009 (The Annie Oakley Suite). It was everything we had hoped and searched for in planning a romantic get away. We found Kate's to be a unique and authentic "American" experience. The feeling you get there is akin perhaps to something you might find while driving Route 66 or...

Kate's Lazy Meadow is a haven of happiness and relaxation. We have stayed there many times and have loved it more every time. Don't go there if you want snooty. Go there if you want cool, nature, fun, and close proximity to the best pancakes in the world--at Sweet Sues!!!! We will be back soon and cannot wait!

I've stayed at Kate's Lazy Meadow twice and ADORED it each time. I only wish I could afford to go there way more often, but as a semi-recently-single-again gal who's re-learning to live on one income, and in this economy, it just hasn't happened yet. However, I cannot say enough good things about the Lazy Meadow! The staff are wonderful!...

I have a knack for selecting 'out of the ordinary - yet wonderful - places to stay when I'm traveling to an area I've never been. We were off to ski the next day at Belleayre Mountain with out ski club, but heard there was a tremendous snow storm on the way. We figured they would cancel the trip from...

We stayed in Kate's Hairstream -- the trailer decorated in B-52 memorabilia -- and really enjoyed it. The trailers are pretty rustic, but they're right on the banks of the Esopus Creek, which is beautiful. Near Woodstock, Phoenicia, and Peekamoose, so there's PLENTY excellent eating, or you can pick up provisions in Phoenicia and grill yourself a nice dinner right...

We chose Kate's Lazy Meadow for our honeymoon because it seemed like something completely different from the normal joe schmo Poconos type honeymoons. We loved the fact that it was very private and off the beaten path. We spent a lot of time exploring the Esopus Creek and the small towns nearby. We stayed in Cabin Suite #8 which was...

“If you just want to get away in the winter and not be bothered, the shack is better than the rooms. Quiet and not connected to the world. If you are there in the summer, the river is accessible from the motel rooms. PUP FRIENDLY (50$ extra per night).”
