The customer service at the Hilton Doubletree in Nanuet is bar none best in class. We were greeted by Lily Montalvo - the manager there, who was more than gracious with her hospitality, and her good nature. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were spotless. We have been staying there for the last several years during the Fourth of July weekend and we will absolutely be back. I could not have asked for a better experience. Five star in my book for both me and my family! The entire staff was terrific!

There were a few things that I felt could have been fixed up at the hotel before a guest arrived.

There was a light as soon as I walked into my room that was on its way out. Right above the coffee area, it was flickering, missing the cover, and making noise like a dirty convenience store florescent light. It made the room feel very cheap. I just made sure to keep that light off during my stay. The shower curtain was ripped up in certain places; also making the room feel very cheap. Considering what I paid for my stay, I would have hoped for a little better in terms of room maintenance quality.

There was also an incessant humming throughout the night coming from… somewhere? I could hear it over the TV and with the AC on. The outlet plugs in the rooms could be updated to replace the telephone cable ports with USB ports - I ended up needing to run to the store to get adapters for my phone charger.

I was attending a wedding for the weekend. I ended up checking in later in the night (around 10PM) and the man behind the front desk forgot to hand me the welcome gift that the bride made for the wedding. I was made aware later that it was denoted on my reservation to hand this gift out, but it was overlooked. The morning after my first night, I ran into some family members who were looking for breakfast at the hotel - despite the hotel restaurant being closed during this time. I witnessed them asking the girl up at the front desk questions about how to get breakfast, to which she responded rudely to my elder family members about. As they continued to as questions to clarify, she gave more and more attitude which was upsetting to me. I know that everywhere is understaffed right now, so I sympathize with the staff, but I didn’t like how certain staff interacted with us as if simple clarifying questions were an inconvenience to them.

Otherwise, the beds were comfy and the towels were nice. The room was adequately clean. But, I feel like some attention to detail is much needed.

Hubby and I decided to sleepover in the truck with a quick stay at the doubletree Nanuet on June 13 - 14, 2020. Customer service was very good, starting with a phone call to the property before booking and then again with check in (both guest service persons (man and women)), we arrived about 8pm. While at the hotel we used the laundry room and purchased snacks, nothing else. The restaurant was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the breakfast was brown bagged but we did not pay the $9.95 for this. The hotel was very quite but very busy. With all the guest in the hotel, it was very quit and we were on the first floor. I didn't know there was a dog until I saw it with the kids in the hallway. We did not used the pool but many people did enjoy it. The King size room 115, was spacious but crowded and old(wallpaper peeling in the bathroom. Con: (1) laundry room not having a coin machine (front desk did not have enough change and the restaurants were closed). (2) The positioning of the towels on the table in the bathroom. It was directly in front of the toilet and the toilet had no cover, so when you flushed everything hit wherever it sprayed out. (3) The stand showers only have curtains to block the water and it soaks the floor of the bathroom. Again this was just a overnight stay and I would visit again, just change the room. *Just a warning: They do NOT enforce guest wearing mask or social distancing. We had ours and about 60% of the guest practice safety.

I am a Hilton honors member and frequently stay at Hilton hotels. This was my first time staying at a DoubleTree. We specifically booked a room with a kitchen, which is one of the more expensive rooms, because we have family members with special dietary needs. We booked 2 other regular rooms, in total taking up 3 rooms in the hotel. Our kitchen when we arrived was completely not stocked, all cabinets were empty. When we asked for the supplies, despite looking and seeing that we had nothing, they only brought 4 plates and cups (one of which had a lipstick stain still on it). We told them we need pots and pans...and they brought us one frying pan and one pot, and no cooking utensils. We also had someones old credit card and receipts still sitting in our safe. My father went to ask for milk for coffee because the coffee station didn't have any. He was told he needs to buy it if he needs it. They finally decided to give him a few little packs of half and half, and then when he went to go get coffee there was none in the machine. When he told them coffee is done, he was again told he will just have to buy it.
We had to go to a party that night so we called the front desk from the party to ask them to stock our kitchen properly. We were told housekeeping is closed for now and that at 9AM they will come do it. By 10AM no one came and our family needed to make breakfast. I called the front desk and asked to speak to the manager who brought a full set of pots and pans and spoons, and paper towels on my request. Despite this, my kitchen was never fully stocked the way it usually is at a Hilton with all the items one expects for their cooking conveniences. My father later asked the front desk for paper towels and he was told that they had to go and buy one for my room, and that he should just take some of mine. I expect better from Hilton Hotels. The staff was rude and incompetent. Though we appreciate the managers minor effort to bring us some more kitchen supplies, this is not the way a Hilton Hotel experience has ever been, or ever should be. I don't plan to stay here again and don't recommend for anyone else to either. There are likely better hotels in the area where you will be treated with more respect and your rooms will be properly cleaned and stocked.

Dear Kahaja, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay with us and the opportunity to address your concerns. I would like to express my sincere apologies for falling short of our commitment to extend a rewarding experience due to service issues in regards to the kitchen not being fully stocked with all the items that you needed. This is not something that happens normally and we apologize that you were inconvenienced by this situation. The next morning of our phone conversation, I explained that we have a make it right guarantee policy and that I was going to do exactly that. We fully stocked your kitchen with brand new pots and pans, cooking utensils, cleaning supplies etc. You mentioned about the items in the safe that was left opened by the previous guest and we immediately spoke to the housekeeping team member. We told her even though the safe was left opened she must check every safe for any items that could have been left behind by the previous guest. The housekeeping Manager went to your room and asked you for the items that were left behind in the safe so that we could contact the owner of those items. Please, let your father know that I apologize and that I will investigate who was the front desk team member that told him he needed to buy the milk or coffee, when we have free coffee in our gift shop every day for all our guests. At the DoubleTree by Hilton Nanuet, it is our mission to exceed our guests expectations and provide outstanding service and accommodations. We have awarded you with Honors points for the inconvenience and hope that this experience will not stop you from choosing to stay with our brand.

We stayed from Friday to Sunday as we were in town for a family wedding. Room 340 has a very strong cigarette stench; my cousin that stayed here had to get moved to another room. I’m not sure why housekeeping wouldn’t report this room to management so that this room would be unavailable for stays. My cousin staying in room 338 found panties in the closet that was clearly from a previous stay. When he told front desk about it, they asked him why he didn’t find it sooner. After much haggling, they took a grand total of $4.44 off his bill. In room 336, the tub was clogged and we were standing in water up to our shins while we showered. There was hair all over the bathroom, as well as a bug on the floor. The sink wouldn’t drain as quick, and the shower door wouldn’t close. The outlets were all defaced and wouldn’t hold anything you plug into it. When I told the manager about this, he tried to tell me that it was because I’m not using an Apple charger. So I showed him that it wasn’t any different with an Apple charger. The manager sent a person up to fix the tub, who also fixed the shower door while he was there. Room 334 had feces and urine stains on the toilet, hair clippings around the sink, and the tub was a filthy mess. All of these rooms conveniently had the blue sticker placed on the door prior to our check in. If the bathrooms weren’t cleaned, it makes me wonder whether the sheets were changed from the previous stay. The whole room was filthy and the telephone had stains all over it. Even after I complained about the outlets, the manager didn’t send anyone to fix it for me. As a recompense, he offered me points. But no amount of points would make up for the filthy and lackluster living conditions we endured as a family for 2 nights. When I told him about the dirty bathrooms, he said the bathrooms were cleaned after we complained about them - as if that sufficed. The point is to have them cleaned before the next customer checks in, not after. Since the manager and assistant manager made it seem like everything was our fault, I have escalated my complaint to Hilton corporate, and I hope they investigate the validity of our complaints and make the necessary amends. Long story short, my stay was so bad, I checked out on Sunday even before the sun was fully up.

Overall, it was a nice hotel. The interior and rooms were very clean. There were measures in place for social distancing. The pool, while nice, wasn't cleaned on any particular schedule it seemed, so I resorted to using the skimmer to clean it myself. Room service is provided by Royal Ribs and Chicken, and unfortunately, none of the food was good.

We have stayed here a couple of times before and this was the most disappointing.

Housekeeping: We stayed four nights. We asked for housekeeping on our second day; they never showed up and we never received an apology. The next day, we received clean towels and they took the garbage out, but nothing else was cleaned (soap dish left dirty; countertops not wiped). We never received body lotion until the last day; that was the day housekeeping forgot to give us shampoo (although the bathroom was finally nicely cleaned). The shampoo/conditioner bottles were cheap and hard to open.

Room: The lighting in the room was poor, even with all of the lights turned on and the chair for the desk could not be adjusted for height.

People's food was left in the hallway for hours. (See picture). The room lacked a "do-not-disturb" tag; we asked for one on the morning of the second day; we were told to pick it up when we returned that evening. When we returned that evening, we were told there were none left. The following day we asked again (having to remind the front desk yet again that we still needed one) and were finally given one on day three of our stay.

Smell: The bathroom always smelled vaguely of cigarette smoke and the last night our room stunk of cigarettes and weed (perhaps floating in from next door, so instead of putting on the heat (It was in the 30s) we slept under the covers with the fan on to circulate the air. The smell still lingered until the following morning.

Gym: On the first morning, the fitness room was leaking from the ceiling and had a plastic bin on the floor next to the elliptical to catch the water coming from the stained tile above (that was eventually fixed). (See pictures). There were no free weights under 20 pounds available in the fitness room.

Dining: On the first day, there was only one muffin left when we came down for breakfast towards the end of the scheduled breakfast time. On the second day, by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (one hour before closing), there was only one yogurt left, but it was frozen solid and inedible (see picture). The food was mediocre at best, despite the $16.99 charge per person for the "buffet" with the terrible eggs and very little fruit.

Checkout: Unavailable on the television, despite stating that is was, and you found this out only after painstakingly entering your information.

The daytime front desk staff were not particularly friendly and seemed annoyed when dealing with us; the night staff was better.

I really wanted to give this place a better review. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Apparently Saturday morning was the best time to schedule construction. Mind you, not emergency repairs, but drilling holes into concrete walls to run new clothes drier lines. Our room was shaking for hours. This was remedied by "sorry" and "extra Hilton Honors points." We will see what that means. Also avoid room 211 unless you like everyone and their guests running past your door all day and night because it must be the best way to get to the pool.

While room accommodation ( Suite) was fair and clean despite showing age ( peeling paper , loose fixture and staff friendly enough we found it inconceivable in the age of COVID that No employees ( but one of two at reception desk) wore masks.
Especially alarming was the unprotected breakfast buffet … and staff handling food in and out without gloves or mask.
Children also seen running around food areas and elevators with no perceived supervision.
Not a place to go if you can avoid it !

Really sorry for your negative comments but our corporate policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In fact I arranged for every employee to receive their two doses by the Rockland County Board of Heath during their work hours znd provided them with paid time off and transportation to and from the vaccination site. Many of our employees have also received the booster shot. As you did note that some of our fully vaccinated employees choose to wear a mask for additional protection, there is no Federal, NY State, Local or Hilton Hotel requirement that fully vaccinated employees wear a mask when performing their duties. While I do apologize for the noisy kids running about the lobby areas, we are not an Adult Only hotel. Kid will be kid, and during your stay we did have many families in residence - we simply can’t stop them from being …. Just kis. I do apologize for the condition of the bed wall accent wallpaper - it seems there was either a defect in the manufacture of the accent wallpaper or it’s installation. We have relaxed about half of the hotel to date and will have all rooms corrected soon. BTW it only affected the wall above the bed, the rest of the room is in very fine shape. I do apologize for your negative Experience at my hotel - no one should be diss appointed. Therefore Have directed the staff to issue you a credit to your account to compensate you for your negative Experiance and hope you will give us a second chance to next time exceed your expectations. Best Regards.

We Came to NY for a wedding and was booked at another hotel for a 3 day weekend. When we arrived that hotel was horrible, we immediately decided to check out and looked for a local Hilton. I have been a member for years and always found the accommodations to be great. This hotel was no exception, the room was large and clean. The hotel staff was accommodating from welcoming us at 9:30 at night with fresh warm cookies to the cleaning staff who supplied us with fresh towel immediately upon our request the entire weekend. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice clean hotel in the Hudson Valley, Nanuet area.

Yes, our indoor pool is heated to 82 F (27.8 C) The air temp of the pool enclosure is about 84 F (28.9 C), so you don't get chilled when you get out of the water. We also have a large hot tub that is heated to 102 F degrees (38.9C). Pool is open 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM
