Made an overnight stop on our way to Long Island. I have had some poor experiences at other Hampton Inns in the past so I was not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised!! Upon arrival, I was greeted by a young lady named Krista. She had a great smile, was extremely friendly and very helpful. She offered me water while she was attending to my check in and I immediately felt like I made a good decision to stay here. The hotel common areas were clean and nicely decorated. The room was also very clean and comfortable. There was a nice complementary breakfast set up in the morning, as well as grab and go bags if you preferred to get right back to your travels. The woman who checked me out was also friendly and sincere. When she said, I hope you enjoyed your stay, I believe she truly meant it! I will definitely stay at this hotel again. We enjoyed our 1 day stay. Our granddaughter used the pool. We enjoyed the breakfast and the location near the Highway and New Paltz. It was very cold in the hallways as if it were summer and we had to turn on the heat in our rooms because it was freezing in our rooms when we arrived.

This hotel is a very short drive from SUNY New Paltz. It has many amenities you would expect from a Hilton property but there are shortcomings. On our first night when taking a shower my wife noticed the water wasn’t draining in the shower and mentioned it to me. I then took a shower and noticed the draining issue however after a couple minutes the draining issue turned into more as what looked to be fecal matter started rising from the drain slot. I rinsed off as quickly as I could and went to the front desk to inform the person working. She was with a customer and asked what I needed. After telling her the details she said she would be up to check it after taking care of the customer. I went up to the room and waited. It was late at that point but stayed awake for her to arrive. An hour later I went down to the front desk again but the same customer was still there. I went back up to the room at what was now nearly midnight. She never came up. The next morning the shower was in the same situation. Brown-tinged water would rise out of the drain. On our way out I said something to the person working the front desk and she said it was noted for housekeeping to check and that she would also reiterate it to housekeeping. When we returned, I could see that the shower had no been touched as the stains were still there and debris that had washed up was still in the shower floor. I then went back down to the front desk and told the person working who was the original person told. I told her again that we were taking a shower with poop. She said she expected housekeeping to take care of it. Our showers the next morning were quick. The shower filled with water to the point of nearly overflowing within a couple minutes. At the time we checked out no one had come by the room from housekeeping or maintenance to check the shower after we had informed them no less than 3 times of the problem.…

I arrived with my family after 11pm last week exhausted and barely functioning to find that I had mistakenly booked the room twice. HUGE THANKS TO KRYSTAL, who graciously made the arrangements and phone calls to nullify the second booking, saving me not only the expense, but the headache of calling Hilton and Booking.com in the state we were in at that hour. Nice, clean, and convenient for a visit to New Paltz. Right off Route 87 without the traffic congestion of the town. Nice up to date rooms with a good free breakfast. Encourage a bike ride on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail while you are in town.

We were in an accessible room which was very, very large and very clean and comfortable. But there was no shower seat, either fixed or portable so I had to request one. One was finally found but it was too big for the bathtub. I set it sideways and it worked but was not comfortable. Light switches and such were all in good order but someone with fewer abilities than mine might have had trouble finding or reaching them. The breakfast room was quite beautiful and the breakfast was ample and inviting.

Clean and decorated nice. Comfy bed. Good breakfast with make your own waffles and eggs and sausage and cereal. Juices and hot coffee. Coffee maker in room with regular and decaf. Tea drinkers, like me, must bring own tea bags if you want tea in room. Now the weird. Checking in the clerk was oddly robotic. No hello, just monotone asking questions and asking for card. Felt very odd, maybe an off day? The room, we must have gotten a handicap room which is spacious and lots of grab rails and open spaces. But, No shower curtain, shower was missing the handle. Bathroom is huge I must say. In all a comfortable stay with restaurants all within a 5 min drive.

my significant other and i blew a radiator on the nys thruway on valentine's day and were towed to the shoprite shopping center on 299 in new paltz. it was getting late and we had to find a place to stay. serendipitously, the hampton inn was literally across the street. from the moment i went to check on availability and pricing until departing when our car was fixed almost 24 hours later our stay was a treat. from the clean, comfortable room to the terrific buffet breakfast and most importantly, the incredibly welcoming and concerned staff...the stay was a 'great surprise'. the best way to describe car troubles on valentines day and our unplanned subsequent night at the hampton inn is "the best possible outcome of a bad situation." my partner and i recommend this property wholeheartedly!…

This is by far one of my favorite hotels. For one thing, the parking is ample and the outside space is clean and fresh. When you walk in the door, the lobby is also clean and bright and fresh, and you are greeted by friendly desk clerks. We have stayed in this hotel probably four times, and it does not disappoint. Our room was bright and clean and spacious, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the breakfast was ample. But I think its greatest strength is in its staff. I did not have a single unpleasant encounter with a single staff member; everyone who greeted us was pleasant and smiling, and whenever we walked past the desk, the people at the desk greeted us cheerfully. The hotel is a little bit pricey for our budget, but we have found if we are flexible on our dates of travel, we can usually manage to find accommodations here. I am glad that we have found it.…
