My husband and I arrived early hoping to check in. The room was not available but we got the opportunity to meet Sean and his colleagues who were very sweet and helpful. We went back later in the day to check in. The room and bathroom were immaculate. Microwave, refrigerator, tv. Our king size bed and bedding were so very comfortable. This room was a bargain at $99 compared to the hotel across the street which was $257. We slept in late so didn’t have the opportunity to partake in their breakfast. I was told it’s just a continental breakfast, no hot food. But with all the money you saved you can go out for breakfast. That’s what we did. Check this hotel out the next time you’re in New Paltz.

we were greeted warmly by the front desk manager Gail. Even though we arrived a bit early( can never predict traffic patterns in Ct or NY ). Gail was very accommodating, assigning us room away from the highway overnight construction after asking us our preferences for a room.It set the tone for our entire stay. the housekeeping staff was friendly, polite and courteous.the facilities were kept meticulously clean, the bed was comfortable,the continental breakfast the standard offerings but the high tech coffee machine provided more than coffee, such as cappuccino, expresso and lattes. there was ample off-street parking, and it was conveniently located near major roads. It was clear to us that Gail's Postive attitude was reflected in the entire staff and it certainly made an impression on us. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. The front desk staff were excellent -- helpful, efficient, friendly. The room was clean. But otherwise, it was quite dismal. Very small room, low quality sheets, you could hear everything in the hallway because the doors have a huge gap, very noisy. Unattractive common areas and entrance--more like a nursing home. Again, kudos to the staff, but the hard product is just really depressing.

The room was clean and the front desk ppl were nice. However we could hear ppl talking and walking on the floor above us, really heavy steps pounding and squishing till late night, we didn’t sleep well. The noise started again at 6:30am. They should invest on the sound isolation.

Great stay at the last minute. Everything you need in a motel — quick and friendly check in, comfy bed, soft towels. Can’t beat the price. My king room came with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, huge flatscreen TV and a cozy recliner. Are the trappings a little outdated? Sure, but everything was very clean so what difference does it make? The Continental breakfast was nicely situated and gave a quick start to the day. Would definitely start here again.

A clean comfortable hotel. AC worked well. Comfortable bed. Good housekeeping and friendly staff. The continental breakfasts were ok. They had a small exercise room (did not use). All in all, this lived up to expectations and was good value for New Paltz. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for three nights. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and courteous. The room was extremely clean. We brought take out to the breakfast area in the evenings and no one seemed to mind. They are willing to assist you in any way. While packing up to leave, they extended our departure time so we would not have to rush out. I highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling in the New Paltz area.

Never stay at a hotel that does not offer a decent breakfast option, especially with a Hampton Inn across the street. We were there for a family wedding. The room was very clean, which was a good thing. The reception staff was excellent. But NO BREAKFAST. Our family members who stayed across the street at the Hampton Inn raved about the breakfast there. But even worse, when re returned from our weekend trip, I was notified of a $20 charge on my credit card that we did not authorize. The only place I had my credit card out of my purse was at that hotel. I called and notified them and call the corporate offices but, of course, nobody ever follows up on such seemingly petty crimes. As a result I had to have that credit replaced and we all know what a hassle that is. I regret having stayed at Americans Best Value Inn, which is ironically named.…

Good place if don't want to spend a lot of money, however think hard before agreeing to two double beds if you have two adults sleeping in them. It may not be the most comfortable situation. Ironing board and iron had to be requested from the front desk.
