Worse place ever! Room dirty, bullet proof glass at checkin. Foreign men scanning thier ID when they left and retuned (? Refugees or prisoners?) Police/security guards all over the place. I checked in for 4 nights but only spent two in the hotel. The other two were spent in the local hospital. I woke up on Friday May 12th with several bites on my right hand. As the day progressed my hand swelled up, became bright red and hot to the touch. I had a telecall that night with a doctor who prescribed medication which I went out and picked up just before the pharmacy closed. On returning to the hotel, I alerted the front desk person to what was going on and he was shocked at how awful my hand looked. I also showed him a bug I had found on the wall in the room. He had me fill out an incident report (May 12th) but to date the hotel manager has not contacted me. On Saturday while we were out my hand got worse. The swelling increased and spread to more of the hand and started going up my arm. I went to the emergency room at Montefiore St Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh. They admitted me to the hospital and began intravenous antibiotics. I had to stay in the hospital until Monday. This means 2 nights of my 4 night stay were spent in the hospital not at the hotel. …

Front desk staff took photo copies of my Credit card and IDs front and back without release permission or explanation. I was charged a miscellaneous fee of an additional $125 on the invoice despite what I was quoted in my confirmation. I took photographs of the broken heater, the cigarette burns in the carpet, the peeling wallpaper, the holes in the wall, the mould on the ceiling. Despite my request for a non-smoking room, the place smelled incredibly disgusting. The room was humid and musty moldy. I needed to leave due to an allergy response. I booked two nights and left after the first.

While checking in we specified a NON smoking room/stressed to the desk clerk that it was for medical reasons (I have asthma and my partner has a serious illness) He explained to us that they keep smoking rooms in a separate wing. We got a conjoined room with someone who was smoking cigarettes, with their smoke coming through the door to ours. We tried opening a window only to find it was glued shut. We decided to let the desk clerk know that on the way out for food (around 6 pm) he proceeds to call the room next door to us and "yell at them" for smoking AFTER I asked for a new room, claiming there were no other vacancies. After coming back from the restaurant we returned to our room to find the conjoined door jiggling and more smoke being blown under the door. We go back to let him see for himself and he miraculously recalls having another room available. This room was worse, with a heavy feeling in the air, we turn on the lights to see there were blood stains on the carpet, ceiling, walls, and lampshades (this room smelled like cigarettes, dirty water, and pennies) . It also looked like someone smeared vaseline on the furniture like what even is that? After seeing a vacancy elsewhere we let him know we'd prefer just to have a refund instead. He pressured us into spending an extra 50$ for an "upgrade" suite that we saw had a gaping rusty hole in the tub ( that he tried to tell us was glue? it was literally painted tape over a hole in the floor of the tub) and wolf spiders everywhere, we still insisted on getting a refund.1st he said he wasn't the manager so he couldn't. Then said he didn't have to since we booked via a 3rd party.(hotels.com) we left for a different hotel same day on Christmas eve . I have been on the phone with hotels.coms customer service for about 2 hours now and they're telling me that the hotel manager has to approve the refund despite us having photo/video proof of the room as well as proof of having to book another hotel the same day we checked into this one.…

I don’t have the energy anymore to complain about this hotel. Despite several attempts to talk to a manager before and after the stay; it just never happened. I was mocked, laughed at, upon checking in as I had an issue with the surprise gun show happening over the same weekend. This place is unclean, and the hookers hanging around is a lovely touch.

Unkept and outdated. Cramped and dingy. Receptionist was protected like a bank teller, giving the impression that the area in unsafe. Did not provide complimentary breakfast. Good luck finding this place from the road after dark.

needs to be gutted from the front check in desk to rooms not worth the price paid for quality of stay the rooms are very questionalble the staff does not cooperate there is no breakfast let alone having a working coffee pot in the room

RAMADA This past weekend we had an unforgettable experience at Ramada by Wyndham Newburg/West Point, 1289 NY Rte 300. Hopefully we will never have such an experience again. We entered the lobby to be greeted by “give me your I. D.” Surly would be too severe a description but warm, welcoming and courteous would be way too generous. My grandfather and my great-grand parents were immigrants; I understand the value and contribution that immigrants have made to this country but when you work in customer service, greeting customers, I feel your accent should be soft enough that you can be understood. Conversation beyond “give me your I. D.” was extremely difficult to understand. It is a common passive aggressive action for hotel staff to fail to properly program room keys. Our room keys required multiple visits to the front desk to achieve proper programming and still they did not function properly. To find our room we entered through portal “C” to be greeted by the “aroma” of pot, this in a no smoking facility: Pot!! In addition: Room Burglar lock missing No towel racks Drawers of dresser “haunted”, would not stay closed No chair for the desk No TV Guide Advertised breakfast, no breakfast available. (Covid). No rebate or apology offered. Advertised restaurant/lounge on site, both closed No room service, no clean towels To the good, the shower is gorgeous, water pressure and hot water excellent but that is in no way reason to revisit this facility. As I pull up to the hotel, I notice multiple signs - GUN SHOW. If this was known at booking I would have chosen another location. Unfortunately because of a football event there were no other options at 6pm on a Saturday night and the room was prepaid. The bullet proof, full glass enclosure for the reception is also a clue that this is not a pleasant hotel. The hooker and pretend gang guys mooching around the lobby also a bad sign. However, what I object to is the condescending, arrogant staff who told me “you should not have any problems with the gun show”. They laughed at me behind my back, refused to let me speak with a manager, smirked at me when I said that it is inappropriate for me to be around a gun show. Then the room…it is disgusting. We stayed one night, and wouldn’t stay again. We kept finding roaches on the bathroom, we told the staff and they just said they would let cleaning staff know! Not helpful! Do not stay here! Not worth it
