Nxai Pan camp is located at an own waterhole where we could observe elephants all day. Rooms are large and comfortable, with a good, large bed, bathroom with double sink and a shower, and a deck with good view of the waterhole. Game viewing was very good. Particularly also at the other waterhole, which was about 30 minutes drive from... More

To start 2 weeks of Safari in Botswana, Nxai Pan is great. Best season is for Zebras Migration in rainy seasn. But still, we saw lions and a cheetah. In comparison to other camps in Botswana quite cheaper but absolutely worth ist Money.

Nxai Pan was one of four Kwando camps in our recent Botswana safari. We traveled from one to another via small planes - all arranged through Kwando. Nxai Pan camp is in one of the pans bordering the Kalahari desert. The views from the main lodge and all the rooms were beautiful - looking out over the Kalahari. And the... More

Nxai Pan was the first stop on our return trip to Botswana in 2016. We chose it because we hoped to see the herds of zebra and wildebeest and we were not disappointed - there were vast areas of the pans covered in wildlife, and we witnessed the birth of a zebra foal (and the savagery of a stallion which... Well run camp with excellent staff. Rooms are spacious although some are quite a long walk away from the main building where all activities start from and where all meals are taken. We enjoyed this camp and had great fun with the happy generous staff. The game viewing was quite extraordinary both from the chalets and on the drives. The... More

OK, elephants aren't that unusual, but this is a desert where the elephants hog the water hole. View of the waterhole from your room. See also the Baines Baobab trees -- painted in May 1862 by Thomas Baines. They still look as they did in 1862.
