We stayed here on a group holiday recently and on the whole everything was fine. The food was good but they did have a problem, if you wanted to deviate from the set meal (i.e. serving the vegetarians or people with food allergies).Good selection at breakfast and we followed the rule of sitting where you are told...although no sign of... Having walked around the beautiful lake we called in here for a drink. We were served very quickly without any chat or being made to or feel welcome. When the drinks cane the lady waitress asked for the money and then said she would bring a bill. We had hardly taken a sip when she reappeared and asked to take... More

Arrived as part of a group of "old car enthusiasts" accommodation booked and paid for many months in advance, only to find when we arrived six of the twenty two couples had been bounced to a two star hotel down the road! Not a good start. Our room was on the third floor in the attic with no lift access... More

Stayed here for four nights as part of a group. The setting is lovely and the outside areas are very nice especially the pool area , there is free ample parking as well , The staff and family who own these hotels are very nice and helpful , but one of the breakfast staff an older lady who is something... The hotel offers good accomodation and tasty food. We particularly loved the Restaurant du Fromage and the friendly staff very much. The lady apparently being the manager/owner of the hotel was quite a stunning experience. She reminded me of an outdated model of a one star army general in the sixties, bossing around his troops. Hotel guests who took the... More

This hotel is in a lovely location but it is like something from a bygone age. The corridors are dark and the room is not much better. No fan or air con which made it really hot and blankets on the bed made it even worse. The only plus was the breakfast which was expensive but good quality.

Room 19 in this hotel. No tea/coffee making facilities. Not one drawer in the entire room. The toilet is situated so that you have to sit with your knees under the washbasin. Large crack in washbasin. No shower curtain (no rail for one) which meant anything left in the room whilst showering got soaked. Room 19 is located on the... More

We got offered a room at the next door Hotel de Poste (same owner), but they couldn't find the key and they provided us for the same price a room in Hotel le Lac. The room was on the first floor with a small attached bed room for my son. The hotel clearly needs a refurbishment they started with fixing... More

Not having warmed to Besancon, we escaped to Malbouisson a day early. The hotel overlooks the lake and they share an outdoor pool that has a similar view. The room we were given was up on the top floor and looked a little old though the bathroom had been recently refurbished. The restaurant was a gem and food and service... More

Having visited this hotel many years ago, we were keen to see what how time had treated it and our memories. We spoke to a young lady on reception who was fine. Our room was on the first floor and was perfectly comfortable with a large bathroom. Other members of our party were on the second floor where the rooms... More
