I just loved this hotel because it's very unique, our room called Miss Marple, it was very cute room with secret door to the toilet. The bed was very comfortable! Within walking distant to the beach and all the restaurants!

I wish that we stayed in Etretat and at Detective Hotel for longer than one night. This place was comfortable and quirky. The staff upgraded us to their biggest room and it had a gorgeous view of the little town. We found an old record player in the wardrobe with a huge selection of vinyl; we spent our night there...

The hotel is very nice. It's not really modern but not old at all. There is a good détective decoration in the bedroom and the commun areas. The breakfeast was very nice. I'm quite difficule about the bathroom but it was very clean. People are very nice. The price is a little high but we are in august so it's...

I rent a bedroom 2 nights; it's a good choice according to me thanks to the right place to visit 20km around, and to go out in the evening on "foot" I choose a small room (columbo) for 2 (it's correct) Very nice pointview since window over "the Arc"

it was an interesting place to stay but the hotel has worn out now. the owners are sweet people and co operative. we lived on level 3.. which was a good exercise to climb as there is no elevator. the hotel has interesting books to read and games to play, which can keep you engaged on rainy day. we did...

Detective hotel, sounds good, sounds hip, sounds fun! The price is regular for a 2 star hotel, so one expects the services of a 2 star, with the detective theme as the icing on the cake. Instead, just as you open the door, the smell of damp catches you. OK, the long corridor to the reception desk is as spooky...

We always arrive late afternoon, this was first Hotel we spotted. Reasonable rate and room was clean. Had the Sherlock Holmes room so you have to find everything which makes the trip a little more interesting. Breakfast was fine , nice people running the place

To start with - if you are taller then 180 sm don't book Colombo room. Well generally - don't book this room ever. Its sooo ridiculously small that my feet were literary touching the door of the bathroom from the ridiculously short bed! Leave alone the noise from the corridor, micro shower and worn out interior. Credit should be definitely...

Good beds, good breakfast, central location, friendly staff and good value. However, its quirky and surprising charm can't overcome the fact that our room was small, tired and very dated and the dingy stairwell and corridors were off-putting. We arrived on a Saturday at the end of August - probably peak visitor time - and parking was a nightmare -...

I honestly can't understand the positive reviews of this place - I stayed there last week and it was, frankly, grim (anyone remember the 1-star private hotels of Paris in the 1970's - one step up the ladder from 'student digs' (or 'squat') but with 'hotel' pretensions..? This brought back the memories... in spades...). Anyway... we stayed in the 'Emma...

The Mystery of the hotel The chairs were comfortable well be the most welcoming host, a vague apprehension pincer visitors who took the risk to book a room at Hotel Detective . Dim light , dark corridors and creaking floors . Wall , a steel plate shredded shot rocket launcher sets the tone in a setting worthy of a film noir. The country of Arsene Lupin , the ghosts lurking . Miss Marple and Sherlock Holmes Charlie 's Angels Ladies, all the great names of literature the crime series have left here trace of their passage and even hidden in some room some bumps and smaller surveys that must be resolved before you can rest soundly .
