Hi, we spoke to lots of people while we were there and were told that the season in Santorini has become much longer than it used to be, particularly with Chinese visitors preferring the cooler months. That said, it is not quite year-round and so I'd expect Oia will be very quiet in December, with few hotels, restaurants and shops open. Are you sure Marizan Caves is open then? There will likely be a bit more happening in Fira I'd think. Hope this helps; have a wonderful time wherever you decide to stay!
