Me and my husband came to stay here and were blown away by the views! The staff were also so friendly and helpful! The hotel is situated 5 minutes away (by car) from the main centre of Fira where most of the restaurants and shops are. Would recommend!!

The hotel has an amazing view from the hotel terrace looking down on the caldera and out to sea. There is a good-sized swimming pool and plenty of places to sunbathe outside. However, the front of the hotel (and the room) backs right on to a very busy road. Even with the windows shut - which you would not want... More

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of June with our 2 eleven year old girls. It was a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a pool and a view of the caldera. This small hotel is clustered with a few larger properties between "downtown" Thira and the port. There was a grocery store,... More

We stayed at the Caldera Butterfly for 3 nights (€108pn with Booking.com). It is roughly half way between the port and Thira town, and buses go past every 30 minutes during the day, taking about 10 minutes. A taxi ride into town costs €8. We previously visited here over 20 years ago when the whole building it occupies was a... More

Informed me that they need to move me for a day to another hotel. My reservation was confirmed weeks ago. They apparently have a large group coming in. I am NOT pleased with the inconvenience. Am requesting a credit. The room itself is nice but it is not acceptable to be moved after having a confirmed reservation. The confirmation even... More

We stayed here for four nights recently and really enjoyed the views. This is a great place to stay if you rent a car because it's on the main road and a quick drive to anywhere on the island. The beds were pretty good and the room was almost a mini apartment with sink, fridge and tea pot. Shower was... More

Recently refurbished rooms are great with a bigger double bed, the pool is cold but suitable for swimming and not just dipping, friendly staff, and a fantastic view over the caldera. It's a bit far out if you want to be close to Fira centre but buses do pass by and there's free parking. Overall it's less classy than its... More

Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway on this beautiful island. Spacious rooms with a fridge, kitchen sink, big wardrobe, dining table and chairs. Holy moly though, the view!!!!! Amazing!!! The staff were very nice and helpful. We dealt more with Neili from the reservation department and she is the nicest, most helpful person we have... More

Situated somewhat of a 20 minutes boring walk from Fira, the view makes up for everything. You don't have to fight the crowds at Oia or Fira, because its even more beautiful from your balcony. I would definitely recommend some sort of transportation. And with transportation you are suddenly right in the middle of the Island that has so much... More
