My wife and I were in Greece for a month for work in Athens. One week, during our off time, we went to Santorini and stayed at the Astro Palace Hotel and Suites. We found this place to be ideal for us. The hotel provide...More
I have stayed in many hotels globally and Astro Palace offered a level of service second to none! I had read the reviews, particularly around the service offered at the hotel, and I was not disappointed. From our greeting on arrival, through each day we...More

Hi there, I like a good view too so you've asked the right person! OK so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the views. Firstly, the hotel is on the main road to Fira, so some of the rooms face the road, (even if you like the view in the background, in the foreground is the road which is also quite noisy.) If you're in a room that faces the "inside" of the hotel, e.g. the pool, then you've got that in the foreground. It's also worth highlighting that this hotel is not in Fira, it's outside the town, so for the famous "postcard" views over the caldera, you have to stay in Fira, looking out West. This hotel looks out East across the island which is flat and not nearly as dramatic. So the views are OK, but I also stayed in Fira and the views were amazing (but the hotel wasn't as nice as Astro Palace). Also consider to stay in Oia or Pyrgos if you want nice views from where you stay. At least visit those towns if you like views, truly amazing. We went to a restaurant called Rosemary for lunch in Pyrgos, I would recommend it. Have a great trip, Santorini really has been one of my favourite destinations and can't wait to go back one day.

Not inclusive and there aren’t kitchen facilities in the room. Full buffet breakfast is included each morning and room service is diverse and affordable as well as many restaurants a 10 minute walk away :)
