We stayed here for an anniversary trip late in the season. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. They provide a shuttle to Fira and Oìa (don’t know if this is offered all season, it was late so much less crowded when we were there). The restaurant is very good and the views are incredible. It was too chilly to use the pools but they look great and overlook to the west so you can see the amazing Santorini sunset from the pool, a lounge, or your balcony. Highly recommend!
The resort: The view from the hotel premises were stunning. The unique setup of lazy chairs near the pool area with water around gives an illusion of floating and adds to the visual appeal of the place. Even the dining area was very tastefully designed and shared the same beautiful view as the pool area. The daily breakfast had a decent spread and everything tasted good. The room: We had booked the Superior room with outdoor hot tub. When we entered the room, it felt cozy and nice. Initially we felt that the hottub was pretty small when compared to what we imagined it to be. However we fell in love with the hot tub when we used it and eventually became the best part of the whole resort. The tub is designed to for people to sit (has a step) and when you sit, the water comes to the chest level. It was very relaxing after our trek and excursions in the island. …
Although in the town of Fira, be aware that it is not in walking distance to Old Town Fira! This is on a busy road quite close to Santo Winery. It is not near the touristy promenade of shops and restaurants. The resort and staff are very nice. The reception and check-in at the front desk was super pleasant and very informative and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed. Interestingly, the restaurant staff do not bug you to order drinks in the pool area - you have to order at the restaurant bar. This is different than many establishments, but actually refreshing to not feel imposed to order. The swimming pool was quite cold, like all we experienced in Santorini, and no one really swims unless it is sweltering out. We were thrilled that there was a hot tub, as this was the only body of water we came in contact with in Santorini that was tolerable in temperature. Note that the hot tub temperature was comfortably warm, but not super hot. After a long day of exploring the island, we had just begun to relax in the hot tub, when an employee came over and informed us that the pools were CLOSED AFTER SUNSET (which was about 7pm / 1900). WHAT DID WE JUST PAY ALL THIS MONEY FOR??!! I certainly understand, that for safety reasons, that the swimming pool and infinity pool should be restricted from use after dark, but the hot tub was the main reason we chose Lilium. Note that the restaurant had some of the absolute best lunch and dinners that we experienced, and that there isn't a need to leave the resort to eat elsewhere. The restaurant is elegant, and the views are amazing from the resort. The breakfast buffet was superb as well. Except for the hot tub restriction, this was a beautiful place to stay.…
Stayed for 5 nights last week. Room was fab, very clean and spacious. Superb views from the pool. Most of the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff and the shuttle bus driver (we didn’t catch his name but the man with the ponytail) who was so lovely and kind. The hotel is a perfect location, not too close to Fira so really peaceful but only a short drive by the free shuttle buses into Fira. The food is fantastic too, especially recommend the Penne pasta which we ate about 5 times over the course of 5 days! Highly recommend this hotel.
Such a beautiful hotel with lovely, helpful staff, amazing views and excellent service. Pool and infinity pool were lovely. Shame it wasn’t open after sunset but I can understand for the rooms close to the area. Way better place to watch the sunset than Oia. Breakfast was incredible. Loads of options. The free shuttle to the main town was great! When it wasn’t scheduled we were able to pay 5 euro to take it however this was not always available. Shout out to the driver of the bus who also carried our bags to our rooms and fixed our aircon at 9pm at night within 20 mins of us reporting a leak. I didn’t catch his name. The other bus driver (man with a pony tail) was also great to chat with. Would definitely recommend.
