I walked into the lobby and thought it was a nice newish hotel with modern style. Then I got to our room - artwork was missing from the walls (nothing but hooks remained), some light fixtures and outlets didn't work, furniture was frayed, there was mold in the shower and the toilet never stooped running. The front desk service was excellent and the breakfast was good.
The hotel is by far the best choice in the area. It delivers nearly everything you need, rooms are apartment size, well stocked and spotless. Wifi is very very fast and makes for an easy place to work and visit family. The only issue is they need to open the bar/lounge. The pandemic is done, bring back the ability to sit, have a a beer and relax with other travelers. There is no excuse to not bring on the staff to support that option for guests.
What a beautiful gem this Residence Inn is. Situated at the end of a long parking area adjoining a Sto pand Shop and other large box stores, the hotel is tucked away at a quiet corner and is really a home away from home. To be greeted not by one or two but three hotel managers with a cheerful hello is rare enough. Check-in was quick. Elevators clean and quiet. Hallways to the room were very fresh and modern and well lit. Room was pre-warmed and felt cozy and inviting. Everything looked so modern and clean - from the artwork to the wood furniture and granite countertops. Well stocked cabinets showed mugs and glasses and all required flatware. Bathroom was clean and modern. Dark walnut cabinetry with modern hardware were just right. Plenty of lighting options to get just the right amount of light. Shower water pressure was splendid and towels were soft and new. You get the picture. This hotel is a winner. This hotel is managed WELL. It is run WELL. And it shows as WELL. I've been around and this is one Residence Inn you will like. Any cons? Would like to see disposable cups as well in the room. Let's leave the Green initiatives for the residents of this great country - not the paying guests :)…
Five stars based on initial impression (I can always update later): my room is spacious and clean. I’m here for an extended work trip, so I like the kitchen and seating area. Dishes and dishwasher provided. I’ve stayed in some poorly maintained Residence Inn properties, but this one is well kept. Front desk staff is nice. There were a few more pubic hairs in the bathroom that I would have liked, but I try to go easy on housekeeping because I understand staffing issues. I also understand it’s a little harder to clean long term stay places. But it would be nice if there were zero pubic hairs next time. Bed comfortable. Linens mediocre, but not terrible. Plenty of closet space. Good shower pressure and hot water. I’ll probably stay here again.
This is a better selection in Orangetown if you need to be in the area. There is a grocery store next door and plenty of room to keep your items in the full kitchen of the hotel room. Indoor pool was enjoyed by the kids. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was actually one of the better Residence Inn meals with a variety of eggs, Canadian bacon, bagels, etc. Plenty of tv options, including streaming channels. Staff was pleasant. Recommend.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn Orangeburg. We had a family gathering we were attending and decided to stay overnight for a quick commute the following morning. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/kitchen functioned accordingly. The facility was well lit and maintained. The staff were helpful, courteous and obliging. The complimentary breakfast was convenient for a quick bite and some coffee to start the day. Overall a good experience for a quick stay. We would return.
We' e been staying at this hotel every time when we are in Rockland. Unfortunately, we will never stay again because of the fron desk representative Emilie. She did not provide a good service to our families. 4 families who checked in and are all elite members. I asked if we could use the breakfast area for dinner and she did not respond. I told her we will clean the area, again she did not respond and made a face. Finally, i asked for the manager, Desmon who came pit right away. He allowed us to use the breakfast area. Desmon was very accommodating. Unfortunately, we will never stay at this hotel again because of the front desk representative Emilie. Not very welcoming and not smiling. You could tell she has a bad attitude.
My wife and I had a recent 4 day stay. Most of our stay was great, with everything we are accostomed to at a Residence inn. Some aspects of our stay were not what we normally expect from Marriotts. However, after our stay, the Genrral Manger, Jennifer Arnone, emailed me an apology and that she would be refunding us a night's stay. We were very impressed with the hotel's response and care for our concerns. D.G. New York State
Beautiful place. Receptionists very kind. Room very big and clean. Bed really comfortable. Big bathroom with all complementarietà. Also very kind since there is also dishwashing liquid and coffe. Only thing I did not like the breakfast. Really sand and poor.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room was immaculately clean, large and very comfortable. The pool was great and we had the place to ourselves. The to-go breakfast was simple but perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.
