We stay here one night to visit the Roosevelt library. The hotel is located in a nice area with restaurants and shops near by. It is older hotel and could use some updating , when you flush the toilet It made a super loud noise. I asked for body lotion at the front desk they said they did not have any that I could buy some from the store … I could not believe it . Body lotion used to be standard in the room with soap , shampoos etc but for some reason they do not put it i. The room , so you have to ask for it at most place now a days but to not have any all And then tell me to buy some . I could not believe it. The breakfast was lacking, a few hard boiled eggs , cereal , no bread to make toast , only English muffin Bagel. No peanut butter out do I asked and the guy Brings this giant jar out .so I took a knife and placed some in a cup to use. Other staff members at night were friendly and helpful.…
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Good free breakfast. Lovely pool and hot tub. Beds very comfortable. A special thank you to Sandra who was at the front desk. She is so helpful. Can't wait to stay again.
I love Marriott properties. You know what to expect, and they almost always meet, and often exceed, expectations. This Residence In n was no exception. A large, clean, comfortable and well-appointed room. Everything worked internet, TV, shower, air-conditioning, etc.). Free breakfast (very good) included. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Its not the Ritz and it lacks the charm of a well-run bed & breakfast, but for the money and the dependability, your can't beat it.
I was very pleased with this property. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. There are restaurants very near. The breakfast isn’t great, but it is like any other Residence Inn. I would completely be willing to stay there again.
checked in late for a wedding so had to quickly get dressed and leave so no time to change room. the ac must of been broken so floor unit ac were installed, noisy all night. And there was a terrible stench from the kitchen. Yuk wouldn't stay here again
Within 2 minutes of our arrival, I noticed how disgusting the refrigerator was (see pic). Carpet was all stained. No lotion in the room. We got moved to a different room the second night but the bedroom had a weird external fan that made it impossible to walk around the bedroom. Then all the TVs weren’t working. Nobody cleans the patio and the gym. The breakfast eggs made me sick. No milk in the coffee station. Rooms don’t get cleaned everyday. Tyler from the FD wasn’t friendly at all during our entire stay. The MOD on Saturday morning wasn’t receptive. This property is a total chaos. But I see some potential for marked improvement thanks to employees like Sandra and Daisy from the FD.
3 day business trip, room was clean and nice, bed was very comfy and it had smart tv’s. . Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would’ve given a higher rating but the breakfast was super limited and not good, gym was tiny and there weren’t enough elevators throughout the hotel, you had to walk pretty far from the lobby to reach them.
We chose the hotel for the third time. My husband attended a seminar at IBM and the short distance is one of the points we always value. There are other advantages that made us choose this hotel and this time they were no longer offered. Breakfast used to be very complete and are no longer complete, for example they do not offer fruit. Another of the services that we valued when I stayed alone in the hotel while my husband studied was a courtesy car that on some occasions brought me to the shopping mail. That service is no longer available, The room was not cleaned in the 5 nights of stay. If we needed to change towels we had to go to reception to ask for them and instead of giving a complete set, they skimped asking how many we needed. They used to have a social reception 3 days a week in the afternoon with drinks and food and they are no longer doing it....They have enough space to do it outside or place drinks and packaged food or burgers cooked outside as they did a few years ago Our perception is that in the name of COVID, economic cuts are being made. In other Marriott hotels where we have been staying a few days later we had full breakfast, daily cleaning of the room and excellent quality of service. Next time we will choose the recently opened Homewood Suites hotel that has the advantage of proximity to IBM…
My son and I stayed one night in a one bedroom suite while in town to tour Vassar. The hotel’s location and nearby amenities (we walked to a very decent sushi dinner) was great. Other than that, the hotel was really loud - lots of screaming in the hallways until late at night, the people staying in the room on the other side of my head had their alarm going at 6 am for almost an hour and it might as well have been in my room. Walls don’t appear to have any sound mitigation at all. The sofa bed (where my son slept) was too uncomfortable as a bed (and the thin mattress was stained/dirty with no mattress cover) so he re-folded it into a couch. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. Wish I had better things to say. It’s also awkward to have to go through the bedroom to get to the one bathroom. We’ve stayed at many Residence Inns and not had this experience. …
came for a weekend to get out of nyc and used the hotel as a base to explore the hudson valley hotel was reasonable priced and having a full bedroom suite with a kitchen just feel luxurious. i didnt expect to spend so much time in Poughkeepsie but i did they took an old bridge that crossed the hudson and turned it into a park great views good exercise i found quaint restaurants, bbq, diners. visitied FDR's home. who knew that there was so much to do. no breakfast is served yet but they did provide take away option that was pretty good i chose this hotel for the price, but found the rooms nicely renovated, the surrounding area al a pleasant surprise
