Excellent check, nice rooms, breakfast fab. Would have liked to have enough time for the pool as it looked great, Linda really went out of her way at breakfast to help and accommodate my jet lagged children and make us welcome! Will defo stay again
Very nice. Got a good last minute book online and was surprised to see how nice it is. Quirky that room on ground floor are 200’s and 2nd floor has 300’s numbers. No free breakfast but that’s ok. Microwave and fridge with freezer- nice touch. Bathroom not big but shower has nice spray with 2 adjustments. Worth the extra 15 minute drive from exit.
We stay in the area once a year and have stayed at different hotels. We decided to try this holiday inn since the prices were better than other hotels in the area, however, don't be fooled. The main lobby may be nice but the rest of the hotel leaves much to be desired. First, they gave us a room in the basement with a dehumidifier going in the hallway. The room smelt musty and had a small window, in which, a car was parked outside and running with its headlights on. Not to mention, the hallways had guests garbage sitting outside their doors and it was 10 pm at night. We then went to the front desk to get our room switched and they told us the only room with a king on the top two floors were one right down the hall with an adjoining room. It was late so we decided to try that, but however, the adjoining room was 4 teenage boys yelling and not to mention dirty. We then at that point tried to call other hotels in the area, but everything was booked. So now we go back to the front desk and ask if there is any other room, doesn't have to be a king, that is not in the basement. The man at the front desk was so nasty with us telling us that we purchased a king so we should be getting a king room and di not want to give us another room. It wasn't until we gave him some kind of pushback that he magically found an other king room on the main floor. If there would have been hotels with availabilities, we would not have stayed. The rooms are old and not taken care of. Our carpet in our room was stained with some sort of pink substance. The toilet was missing a cap on the bottom with a screw sticking out. The shower head in the bathroom was hanging on by one screw and hanging off the wall. The floors were filthy and made our socks black. The room still smelt musty, but was better than being in the basement. The staff was not friendly and almost standoffish. Not to mention they gave you two towels and that was it for the stay. Overall, if you can stay somewhere else, I would recommend to do so. The hotel and the staff left much to be desired.…
The hotel was clean and they allowed our dog, which was great. Linda at the restaurant was exceptional. She made our 6 year old daughter feel welcomed and was very nice to her. The main cook was extremely nice too, but I didn't get his name.
The lobby is well appointed and clearly recently updated. Nice bar and lots of casual seating. We were “upgraded” to a king room with jacuzzi. I did not expect that to mean a room on the damp smelling basement next to the hotel’s laundry and service walkthrough. The bedroom was 7 out of 10 on cleanliness. The bathroom a 5 AT BEST. The upgraded jacuzzi bathroom had black grout (mold?) EVERYWHERE. No way would I use that jacuzzi. I showered with flip flops on. A little Clorox can go a long way … suggest adding that to cleaning supplies. Amazing that I paid well over $300+ a night for this. Definitely overpriced
The room was clean, but there were no liners in the waste bins and no local information, such as restaurants, entertainment or services in room. Upside, the room was quiet. We paid for the breakfast, which ended up being the same breakfast that has been free in every other HI we have ever stayed in and honestly not as good, most of the prepared foods were barely warm and nothing is labeled. But to be fair, there was a good variety to choose from and the staff was friendly. Not a bad experience, but for the price, I expected to be impressed and I wasn’t.
The whole experience here has been wonderful. At breakfast it is wonderful to see smiley-friendly face and Linda has been amazing. I would definitely return here and recommend to others. Linda was excellent.
Linda was amazing at breakfast time and enjoyed our chats. So friendly :) and welcoming. I would recommend here for sure and will return. It was very clean and was able to extend our check out. Linda was wonderful. :)
The room was nice . People were nice. Linda in the dining area at breakfast was most helpful and pleasant. Towels can be improved. A few came through with tears or worn out areas. They were immediately replaced upon request.
I don't usually stay at Holiday Inn's but this one got great reviews so I tried it. My daughter and I stayed here for my other daughter's college family weekend. We paid $300 a night and $285 for the first night (no food included) and it was not worth it. I stood at 4 hotels this summer and paid less for 3 of those and they were higher end brands in a more expensive area. The staff at check in didn't smile or tell us anything about the hotel. The room & bathroom were small, dark & dingy. We were on "B" level and it sure did feel like a basement. The door didn't close well and I could see into the hallway from the side (bottom) which made me very uneasy. The room had a weird smell like they used a cheap air freshener to cover up another smell. I had to kill a large insect the last morning in the bathroom. I see people raved about breakfast but I didn't see an actual restaurant. There was a bar and some tables but I didn't see a menu or hostess stand. There was a power outage for quite a while the last night of our stay which was out of their control but I thought the staff could have handled it better. The rooms were in complete darkness and they had no flashlights or battery operated candles (my cell phone died so I couldn't use). Many of us guests were in the lobby because it had some emergency lighting and no one walked around checking on us or even offering an apology for the inconvenience. I don't think an amazing breakfast could have saved this hotel for us. This hotel just wasn't for us and I can't believe I spent so much money for this weekend.…
