I am happy with my experience at the Poughkeepsie Inn, although there is room for improvements. The front desk service is quick, but impersonal. The breakfast is very plain, just bagels with butter, cream cheese or jelly, donuts, bananas, and coffee or orange juice. I would have liked some protein. The grounds were not attractive, although nothing seemed to be...

We were on route and booked in for one night; I don't think I could have faced any more. Booking.com gave it rather more generous reviews, had I seen the ones on trip advisor, I would not have stayed there. Very tired and dated, pillows flat as pancakes, iffy hygiene old towels. Was quiet enough on the night we stayed...

Place Looks ten times worse in person than in pictures. I lost all my money that I paid to stay at this place - cos I could do nothing better than just walk out. It looks dingy and dirty. Does not meet any standards (probably has no standards) of a hotel/motel in terms of cleanliness or maintenance. Please do not...

Yes we took a smoking room, but expected the sheets to be in one piece. No bugs and quiet since no one stays there. It is away from the main st and the lobby is nice and offers a breakfast. Cheap and a good reason why.

Charged $170.71, refused to stay at the hotel. If you are planning to do some filming and need a location that screams "you have hit the rock bottom", look no further. You won't need to do much work to add character beyond "ever cleaned bathroom?" "cigarette burns all over the bedding" "strange stain on the chair, I think they could...

I made a four-night reservation and left after one night. The majority of rooms are hidden in the back. The hotel was 95% vacant and the few "guests" they had were sketchy. There are signs on the outside of the building advising you that the fire alarms do not automatically alert the fire department and that a call is required....

Our first trip to see the highlights of the Hudson River Valley and Poughkeepsie found us arriving late one night to the warm welcome of the innkeeper who made sure all our tourist questions were answered, along with providing us maps and printed itinerary suggestions. Ample parking, spotless room, lovely woodland scenery including groundhog and deer sightings while sipping our...

We came to this town to get a car and ended up staying a second night due to some minor issues with registration. The first night was not bad, I mean the hotel wasn't spotless but certainly wasn't worth $80 a night. It was still the cheapest in the area. Second night was unplanned so I expected having been there...

The rooms smell. First room nasty. Second room, smelly & chunks of something hairy from the AC unit. (Which did not have a cover.)Third room was in separate building & was a "little" better so I stayed there. There was a stain on the sheet on the second bed and stains on the carpet. The hotel is very dated and...

When we first arrived it was obvious this place was not an Inn but a motel. The doors are facing the street and did not look inviting. When we got the key to the room and went to the room the outside smelled like urine. When we opened the door the room also smelled like urine. We went back to...
