We stayed here for a week in July for a family reunion of 25 people. I couldn't have found a better place! We rented the whole house and annex next door which gave us 10 bedrooms, many that had their own bathrooms. The location is excellent with a small park across the street for playing catch, the Salmon river behind...

1880's house is a warm and friendly place. Linda and Dawn make your stay there a wonderful experience. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional. All meals are superb! I highly recommend 1880's House for any time of the year as your destination!

I stay here several times every winter to go cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the Tughill Plateau. The rooms are fine, but the main selling point is the value proposition of Linda's generous cooking both morning and evening, and the comfortable common areas. There is soup and bread to greet you on arrival Friday evening, dinners and breakfasts are...

We had an outstanding time at the 1880 House. We are an outdoor club and had 24 participants. The ski conditions were perfect and the hospitality, food, and accommodations were wonderful. We also enjoyed snowshoeing -- there are many state parks and places to enjoy fun in the snow. Linda does an excellent job with the food -- we had...

......good food, and you can walk to all the major steelhead and salmon fishing you want!! Linda and the crew are always welcoming and Tika the boss cat adds mischief to the place. The deck provides a great view of the river and you can walk to several restaurants within a couple of blacks as well as a good tackle...

What a fabulous weekend we all had! Just came back from staying up there this past weekend. there were 24 of us from a hiking group that went up for the weekend. Half of our group went snowshoeing and the other half went x-country skiing. When we returned , we all were so happy to enjoy Linda's homemade soup and...

I fish the Salmon River every year when the salmon and steelhead come in and I have stayed at the 1880 House multiple times. The rooms are spacious and clean and Linda (the owner) is always friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for accessing all of the primary water. And to top it all off the food is DELICIOUS,...

This year's Salmon River Steelhead pilgrimage was a week earlier than our normal post Thanksgiving jaunt, but still a Fri-Tues break that was breathtaking. The girls, Momma Linda, Daughter Dawn, and next generation Hannah, were charming, hospitable and unbeatable hostesses for our 4 some, Ralph the Plumber, having taken over our late pal Charlie's spot on the team.Ralph had last fished...
