My girlfriend and I planned a little escape for two nights in this cute bed and breakfast in the Hudson Valley. It took a moment to get used to the fact that it was a bed and breakfast - we're more accustomed to hotels - but once we got settled it was quite nice. It felt much more like a...

My husband and I enjoyed a two-night stay at the Red Hook Country Inn over the New Year's Eve long weekend. We had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and well maintained. Our host was extremely gracious and helpful with anything we needed. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. They have their own hens in the back and made us...

We re-visited Red Hook after many years away. We met the owners but they left the next morning and we were left in the hands of Peggy and Elaine. What fun! We enjoyed them so much and they were very hospitable. Our room was on the first floor facing the street. It was charming. The bed is comfortable, the shower...

Let me begin with a caveat: The Inn-owners were NOT in residence while we had our stay. We were left in the capable hands of "Peggy" and "Elaine" who did their best to insure a pleasant stay. This was a two night getaway with my mother, who spent a lot of time in the area as a young woman. Our...

We just returned from our second stay at Red Hook Inn and wanted to share our wonderful experience. Our rooom was comfortable and the house has a very homey feeling. The hosts are delightful people and do everything to accommodate the guests. One night we brought back a pizza and we ate in the parlor by the fireplace! We would...

The Red Hook Inn offers a superb combination of friendliness (it has the informal feel of a home) comfortable rooms, conscientious hosts, and overwhelmingly delectable food. If you choose to contact them before your stay and say you would like to eat at the Inn, you will be treated to a feast of culinary delights--I have never had anything even...

Thanks so much for your kind words! Chef Nabil and I do make every effort to have our guests enjoy their stay at our lovely old home, quirks, spirits and all! The dinners are very special because the Chef prepares your meal as though it was for royalty (or his Mom!). We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope...

My wife and I grew up in Highland,NY. We were planning a short trip home this past summer and were looking for a place nearby that allowed dogs. We came across Red Hook Inn via a Groupon special and booked our stay with them. Upon our arrival to visit our family we realized that we would be late arriving at...

The room we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. There was some confusion when we arrived...we asked for twin bed...but the problem was rectified the following day. The breakfasts were delicious...made with fresh eggs provided by hens on the premisis. We would definitely return.

First impression walking up to the front porch, landscape bushes need trimmed, weeds in the bedding, weeds in the flower pots, empty pots stacked in the corner. Walking into hallway to check-in desk stacked high with papers, books, magazines. ( Owner had contacted us prior to arrival to change our chosen room on first floor to a second floor room....

The Red Hook Country Inn has several things going for it, which includes: first & foremost the Inn's hosts, Pat & Chef Nabil (what wonderfully friendly and helpful innkeepers), their location (near the beautiful Catskills, the mighty Hudson River and mansions of Hyde Park), and the wonderful charm of their historic B&B. Our accomodations were clean, well furnished, and tidy....
