Cannot even begin to explain how incredibly relaxing the four days and three nights were at the MIRBEAU INN and SPA were. From start to finish, every last detail was perfect. The rooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable. The spa amenities were also first class. The relaxation room and the aqua terrace were perfect for relaxing and distressing. We ate breakfast two mornings at Willow. The French toast was amazing as was the avocado toast and the omelette special. First rate experience across the board. Will definitely be back.

Hotel's Favourite
The Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck is a heavenly spa getaway. Great for a romantic weekend, girls trip, or solo relaxation. Guests must be 21 or over, so this is an adult get-away - yay! The entire inn is non-smoking/non-pets. Opened in 2019, it still has the look and feel of a brand new place. It is located only about a 2 hour drive from NYC and is right in the center of the town of Rhinebeck, so all restaurants and shops are right near the inn - super easy walking distance. The outside grounds of the inn are very impressive - a long cobblestone driveway with ample parking both above and below ground. Piped in relaxation music playing from "rock" speakers in the parking lot are the first welcome. There are bicycles/helmuts for the guest use right out front. CHECK IN: Check in was a total breeze in the large reception area that even had the amazing "spa smell". The very kind and knowledgeable Billy handled both my check/in and check/out, was super professional, friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to assist with questions. One of the good aspects of this inn is that while check-in isn't until 4pm, hotel guests can use the spa, fitness center and all facilities even before check in, so you can get there early (spa hours were 6am -9pm) and use the spa/facilities all day. ROOM: The large 3rd floor room with king-sized bed was totally spotless, had spa music playing from a bedside sound machine, a "faux" fireplace was going, full sized luxury toiletries in the bathroom, separate clawfoot soaking tub, large spa shower, and even the toilet bowl had its own separate "room" ha ha - -an alcove area separate than the rest of the bathroom. There is an in-room safe, his and her thick well-made spa lined bathrobes and slippers in the closet, tons of hangers, a hand-held clothing steamer, coffee maker, etc. The bed was super comfortable with a huge padded headboard. All of the wIndows had both sheer curtains and blackout shades, and evening turndown service is done by housekeeping for those that want it. The room was large, spotless and super comfortable. As someone who is still careful with Covid protocols I felt totally comfortable in this pristine room. SPA - The spa has separate his/hers lockerooms that are large, impeccably clean, and filled with luxurious oversized toiletry products, towels, and other comforts such as hairdryers, curling irons, hair ties, etc. A spa attendant takes you for an initial tour. Throughout my stay there were multiple spa attendants always in the locker room and surrounding areas cleaning or refreshing supplies. Each guest gets assigned a locker with a changeable combination. Spa robes and slippers are waiting in each locker. The women's lockeroom has a steamroom and dry sauna, toilets, changing areas and individual spa showers. There is a large co-ed "relaxation room" with dimmed lighting, about 40 padded loungers, a faux fireplace and chairs in which you can either hang out in all day or while you await your spa services. The room has several wellness type books on the tables besides the loungers and there is area stocked with fresh fruit, cucumber water, various teas, etc. There are always plenty of towels to use in numerous locations around the spa. I had a collagen facial with Ashley which was excellent. I also had a deep tissue massage. As someone who has been getting massages regularly for decades and in locations worldwide at various spa facilities, the deep tissue massage that I had at Mirabeau with Ben was one of the top ten deep tissue massages that I have ever had. He was also friendly, extremely knowledgeable about physiology and offered several suggestions for my massage and wellness routines going forward. I highly recommend Ben for deep tissue massage!! Right off of the spa area is an outdoor 100 degree heated dunk-pool (i.e. the pool is not for swimming, just for short-term chilling out in heated water with fountains). Around the pool area, there are padded lounge chairs, small bistro tables, multiple cubed lounge seating with umbrellas and 4 cabanas with privacy curtains, couches and loungers. There is a poolside bar area as well. My only disappointment with the spa was the external noise factor during my facial. The room in which my facial took place was on the opposite wall of a heavy security door leading to the pool area. That door is constantly being opened by clients and slams shut with a loud bang. This was really distracting during the facial. I would recommend that they either put that door on some kind of a spring loaded close or add some kind of foam strips to soften the blow when the door slams shut. Fitness classes take place in the fitness room with yoga mats, blocks, etc. and there is a gym with free weights, machines. There is also a gift shop that sells the spa products and bathing suits or things you may have forgotten to bring. DINING: I had 2 outdoor breakfasts at the Charlie Palmer Willow restaurant (there is indoor and outdoor seating). The service at the restaurant was spotty (hostess was in the kitchen chatting instead of out front at the dining reception on both mornings causing an awkward wait) and even though I was there at "off times" getting the attention of the waitress to come outside was difficult on both days. I was also a little disappointed that a restaurant with a high caliber chef name at a spa/wellness inn didn't have more vegan options. Nonetheless, the breakfasts were very good (though somewhat pricey), the waitress was very nice, and the outdoor seating was serene -- overlooking trees and flowers in the backyard with a lot of nature sounds, as well as the sound of local church bells. There was a sign in the spa indicating that guests were permitted to dine in their robes at the inn daily up until 4pm. I thought that this was a great option as you can spend the whole day in a spa robe, eat breakfast and lunch in your robe and not have to worry about changing clothes throughout the day. Due to the limited number of vegan options at the Willow restaurant, I chose to eat dinner at a local place, Terrapin, a gorgeous restaurant in what looks like it was a former church space a few blocks away - - lots of vegan and non vegan options, locally sourced ingredients, great food and great service. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mirbeau, and am already looking forward to returning with multiple friends. Total hit!

This place is amazing!! I went here for my husband's birthday, and it was such a great weekend getaway. They have an amazing tub in the room, and they give you a bath bomb! Paige at the bar was so sweet and thoughtful best service I've had in a while.

I believe in reality and things in this world are not perfect. The beauty of this place is intentional and it shows. Lovely paintings, attention to details for comfort…it shows here Mr. Edward A Kellogg! Your most wonderful assets here are your staff including in no particular order: Emma (mani/pedi); Curt (exercise/yoga); Kendall and Phaki (couples massage); Viktor & Kevin (Managers); Samantha, Maddy, LeighAnn, Zoe (dinner staff); Meggan (pastry chef) I’m sure there are more involved that I didn’t mention their name, I’m sorry. The time spent with the caring, kind individuals made my time here delightful! Being welcomed or acknowledged is very special! Thoughtfulness is a rare gift in these harsh world, your staff has it tremendously! This four day stay was a surprise treat for my birthday planned by my sweet husband. I’m so grateful to him for sharing this special place with me. Thank you so much!!

Everyone we interacted with at this resort was outstanding; well-trained, helpful and gracious. Also, the food and bar were very good. However, having stayed at the Mirbeau in Skaneateles several times we expected more from this facility. There were multiple signs that management had cut corners in building this facility where you didn’t expect to see it for a place at this price point. For example, little to no individual room controls for HVAC; when we asked about it we were told that there was a tight range for a zone of rooms and we couldn’t deviate. Thankfully, we had balcony doors that opened as we like to sleep in a cool room. Also, annoying things like electric fireplaces instead of gas, cheap toilet paper, and emergency stairwell landing areas and underground parking garage used as storage areas, making them very cluttered. The great service and food were very enjoyable but we were disappointed with the facility and the management thereof.

Just got home from an incredible two days at Mirbeau Spa. Bryan from the front desk was incredibly kind & welcoming. We had spa services that were wonderful and the amenities were beautiful. Adina was lovely! We ate at Willow - Zoe is the best!

We had an excellent time at Mirbeau spa in Rhinebeck. Especially enjoyed the aqua terrace and Ashley at the aqua terrace was wonderful, very attentive. Even though it was cold out heaters were on and hot spa was ready to enjoy. Zara at spa check-in is so professional.

Our amazing experience started at check in with Zara. She was very friendly and informative. This was the second time I had Kendal for a massage. She was great. She was very careful with my bad shoulder. My wife had Christine who she really enjoyed. Thanks for a great spa day!

This was our 2nd visit to the Mirbeau Rhinebeck and we were made to feel very welcome back. The culture within the hotel and spa feels collaborative and warm: Catherine at the front desk, Zoe in the Willow Dining Room and Cassandra in the spa were amazing and amongst many stars. And they seem so happy to be working there. The Inn is stunning, the rooms tastefully appointed and overall it was one of my favourite birthday presents ever!

I planned a second annual "week after Christmas getaway" with my 30 year old daughter and chose Mirbeau Inn & Spa due to its location in Rhinebeck. I had spent an afternoon several years ago in this great town and wanted to explore further. Plus, we live in New Jersey and from the Jersey Coast we could be in our robes and ready for some restorative treatments in 2.5 hours. I had read reviews but really could not tell if Mirbeau was going to be our kind of place. We like high levels of service with great comfort and a friendly, down-to-Earth, pampered experience. Mirbeau exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a double Queen room (there are only 49 rooms) Thursday through Saturday and it was peaceful, stress-free, friendly, efficient and the meals were excellent. And the elevators arrive quickly...always a bonus! The spa was spotless. We loved the outdoor heated jacuzzi pool (with cabanas) and the dark and peaceful interior rest area, with fireplace and water sounds that combine to provide amazing, restorative peace (in the most comfortable chaises I have ever experienced). It was SO GREAT to be away from cellphones....ours and others'! Our treatments by Cassandra, Stephanie and Shawn were top notch. The food really delighted us. Our itinerary: We drove from NJ and arrived in town at 1 and browsed shops until our lunch reservation at Mirbeau at 2:30. The baked brie with NY apple chutney and NY strip steak sandwiches were amazing. We intentionally ate a more heavy meal to take us through our first spa services that evening. Check-in was at 4 p/m and we immediately used the spa facilities prior to our scheduled treatments, from 6-9 p/m! We ordered a charcuterie board through room service to nosh on in our room, after we were done. It really was a great day! We had a delicious room service breakfast Day 2 and enjoyed brunch in the dining room on Day 3 in our robes (allowed through lunch, making the stay so much more relaxing). Particularly loved the grain bowl with poached egg and the breakfast board, with smoked salmon, cream cheese, bacon, small waffles, prosciutto, jam, granola and Greek yogurt. The staff throughout the inn were well-trained and very accommodating. Friendly and eager to please. We particularly enjoyed speaking with Bryan when he brought our luggage in and helped us at departure. I swear he is a Ryan Reynolds doppelganger and even SOUNDS like him. He is meant for a customer-facing role and is constantly on the move. A real asset to the property. Sydney and Leighanne were wonderful servers and the entire front desk and spa staffs were very helpful. We truly had an amazing experience at Mirbeau. We loved that the inn was relatively small, comparing it to some large hotels with spas. Great customer service comes from great training and people enjoying their jobs. Mirbeau employees seem happy and well-trained, which is all too rare after the past 3 .5 tough, Covid-ridden years. . We are already planning next year's return trip!
