So peaceful and quiet being located out in the country surrounded by farm fields. Nice distance between campsites. We have a 42’ fifthwheel and had no issues in maneuvering around campground and our pull-through site was nice and level. Pleasant staff, nice store, nice pool and playground. Would most definitely stay here again. Definitely big rig friendly! And plenty of tall trees and nice shade around the campsites which all have nice lawn space too. We loved our setting.

This campground is very well-kept. Lots of grass everywhere on the tent sites, and lots of nice trees that provide shade. It is situated around a bunch of farmland and it’s very peaceful. There isn’t a lot of road traffic so most of the time except for an occasional passing car it’s pretty quiet and tranquil here. The owners keep very clean facilities, they obviously care about the campground and it shows. This campground is definitely better than a lot of others, simply because of pride of ownership.

One of the prettiest campgrounds around with the nicest, most accommodating people. I can't say enough about this campground. The grounds are so well kept and the bathrooms are actually nice and clean. The folks here treat you like you are family or their best friends. If that's not enough and you are in to photography you will find ample opportunities to take a shot here or there. The sunset across the bean field last night was so nice. Keep it up Cooperstown KOA. You are at the top of our list.

I am horrified, disgusted and deeply disturbed by the rudeness and inhospitality of the owner of KOA Cooperstown NY(or at least one of the owners). We rented a cabin Memorial Day weekend with two young kids.

The owner accused us of leaving the cabin a mess because we didn’t sweep the cabin and scrub the inside, including the toilet before we left. Not only is cleaning to this extent not the responsibility of the guest, there were no cleaning supplies even available in the cabin. There literally wasn’t even a sponge. We did no damage, left no garbage, nothing more than a few bits of this and that which is par for the course in any place where someone stays. Despite zero cleaning supplies provided, we cleaned up the food we saw, we left the freezer and fridge and cabinets and table and counters empty. The beds were stripped. That's what we were asked to do and we happily did it.

Upon our arrival we asked about a guest visiting. We were told of a new no-guest policy. Without any argument, or raised voices, we made other arrangements and never broached the topic again. We asked, they said no, that was the end of it. Only to get a nasty email from the owner lecturing us for even asking. If a client asking a question about a rule that has changed since the last stay is so out of line that they feel put on the spot, then may I suggest they are in the wrong business.

Two days after our departure we received a nasty email from the owner in which she called into question our intelligence and lashed out at our level of education and professionalism in a personal attack that was absolutely uncalled for.

During our stay we followed all social distancing rules, wore masks inside the cabin and outside, didn't interact with any other guests, purposefully did not enter the camp store (except once, for camp wood, and wearing a mask, and only one adult). Yet, the owner accused us of putting her staff at risk because she had to clean the cabin. If it's such a health risk then why did the owner open the cabins in the first place? If it's such a health risk, why didn't the owner give us directions on what you expected us to clean? And regardless of the condition that any guests leaves a cabin, I would expect that the owner would clean the cabin—especially in these risky times.

And let’s be clear, the owner felt our stay was such a health risk to her and her staff -- but certainly took our money.

On dozens of occasions we have stayed at KOA’s in the past (including this one), other private campgrounds, AirBnBs, and other vacation rentals and NEVER have I had an issue with an owner until now. Nor has an owner ever complained about me during or after my stay. And to be sure, I have never experienced a nasty and rude owner like this before.
While the facility and all of the staff are wonderful, the owner is incredibly rude and it is shame that it has come to this. We will clearly be taking our money elsewhere in the future.

First time camping in our motorhome and this place was GREAT! The ladies that own this campground go above and beyond! Staff are friendly and helpful, camp is clean, prices are average for this time of year. Sites are level and clean. Wireless internet is phenomenal, brand new this year. Will definitely be back this year!

We stayed here for a few days while we visited the Baseball HOF. We stayed in spot #14. This was a great spot. Bottom of hill and looked out over cornfield. Lots of space around us. Staff was excellent. Site not too level. Had to block pull down steps, at max. Still had a gap. did not have anything. Male staff, real friendly helped with cement blocks from barn area, that helped a lot. Site needs to be leveled & sideways a little bit. Peggy at office was great pleasure to deal with. WIFI/streaming was great. No over the air TV signals. 1 food market in area. Wal-mart 30 mins away. We would stay here again. Very quiet at night.

Thanks for the nice review, Mike. Our sites are a constant work in progress as many of them are on a slope. We leveled and re-graveled about 30 of them in a different section this past season. And yes, Peggy was an awesome team member and a lot of fun.

Beautiful sites very quiet. Great staff and very friendly. Easy drive to the BHoF in Cooperstown. I could see myself staying here every year not because of the BHoF but because of the views and the staff. The wildlife watching a Doe run in the fields with her fawn was so cool.

The staff and owners are so friendly and supportive, you can forget you are in the Northeast! Southern hospitality lives here.

- The campgrounds were clean and well-maintained
- Our cabin was spotless
- The area is breath-taking
- Even with dozens of campers, the campground was quiet
- Easy to travel to, from, and within the campground

We arrived around 7:30pm on Sep 19th and were pleased to find our cabin porch light on and ready for us. (Office closed at 5pm.) We stayed in a simple, basic cabin and I was so delighted to see a small space heater was provided because it was so chilly that night. Super clean bathroom and shower facilities. Really nice place!

Do you have cabins at your campsite and what are the prices?

Yes they have cabins, we have a camper so I did not inquire about the cabins. The camper sites were around $50.00 per day. They are closed for the winter now.
