I was a little disappointed. I usually stay at a Hampton inn, so I thought the Hilton garden would be a step up. So the hotel was fine, just not quite as good as I was hoping. The room we got had a window, but it opened into a somewhat odd interior space. Rooms in this older hotel are perhaps a little smaller than a newer Hampton. Bathtub caulking was showing its age, but not terrible. Paid parking at a not-too-bad $10 a day - close by, gates worked well, in and out allowed.lobby and restaurant was fine. Pool a tad cool.

Great hotel located in the heart of downtown Rochester. From check in to check out and during my stay I had an absolute amazing stay. Comfy bed, great paid breakfast with so many options, outstanding housekeeping services.. could not fault this hotel. Highly recommend and will definitely revisit when visiting back in 2023. Well done. Thanks

We were attending the WWE event at the Blue Cross Arena and the Hilton Garden Inn was the perfect location. Literally a 5-8 minute walk straight down and around the corner. The hotel is quiet and very clean, rooms are spacious. The view out the window was of the inside of the hotel, not a big deal really. The AC/Heat was great. A microwave and mini fridge was perfect to buy some drinks and snacks, heat up leftover pizza. Beds were comfy, only drawback were the pillows that were not at all fluffy or comfortable unless you bunched ot up. The shampoo dispenser in tje shower had no shampoo in it, luckily we brought our own. If you are looking for somewhere to eat and have drinks, go downstairs to Drifters. But if you are coming back from an event, there is nothing close by that's open to grab drinks or food so you'll either have to Uber it somewhere or get food delivered to the hotel. Front desk staff are awesome and there's a free shuttle that will take you places you need to go to. We will definitely stay here again if attending an event at the arena.

The front desk staff were rude and not helpful. When we checked in, front desk staff made an error and charged me for a room I did not reserve. At checkout, I received a copy of my bill, I was charged for the rooms I had reserved. I just received my credit card statement and there was an additional charge for a room I did not reserve. When I contacted the hotel, they were unwilling to remove the charge as “you physically swiped your card.” I continued to dispute this and was told I would need to provide contact information for the person who actually booked the room… ????? I would never recommend this hotel. And for the cost, the hotel is not worth the cost.

The front desk staff is amazing and that’s where it falls apart. The rooms are quiet so I appreciate that. The elevators and lower level smell like sewer gas and there are apparently no tv remotes in all the rooms. This is my second visit in two months and neither time did I have a working television remote. 5-8 min drive to great restaurants but I don’t think you could walk to a good place.

The location downtown was convenient for the places we were going. The rooms were clean and large . The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the morning chef and waitress. We really enjoyed the smoothies at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel, just don’t expect any extras such as breakfast included, or happy hour that I’ve experienced at other Garden Inns.

Clean, close to everything. Loved the downstairs pantry to get some snacks and alcohol for the room. Always love a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Overall very comfortable for our one night stay.

We’ve stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in College Town many times and have had good experiences there, but that hotel was sold out for a graduation so we ended up here. Location is convenient for most destinations although the neighborhood around the hotel itself is kind of deserted; parking is in a garage a block or two away that was a bit complicated to navigate. The reception area and lobby are very nice and well maintained but the rooms are tired - shower took time to come to temperature, faucets were loose, rugs starting to look worn, lighting dim with curlicue bulbs, TV had old-style cable, etc. Our room was clean but our son’s room had hair from the prior guest and the toilet needed cleaning - and we met some initial resistance getting housekeeping to take care of it because there was limited staff (we weren’t told at checkin but there was no housekeeping unless you specifically requested it by 9 AM). Front desk staff did provide drink vouchers once they understood what the situation was and did get housekeeping there in an hour, and front desk staff was pleasant in general. Breakfast was OK but expensive for what you got with no real alternatives nearby.
