This was the worst I ever had. I am local. I wanted time alone. I wanted to swim and sit in bubbly pool. Got there found put it was closed. Disappointed VERY .. But I stayed. Went to the room .. Nice as always. I stayed on points but they said they still needed a $50 deposit, to be refunded the next day. So I said ok.DONT believe them. This was on Wednesday last week and money still not in my account (5 days later) .. I inquired and they said 10-14 days. Seriously ?? Plus the breakfast was pretty cheesy. No bacon. Again WORST trip ever.

Wonderful last minute stay here in Saratoga to avoid traveling thru a February snowstorm. There were some snafus at check in but the staff couldn’t possibly have been nicer or more accommodating. The room was clean and pleasant. Great value for the $$.

Stayed in December 2022. Hotel was ok. Corridor and carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. When my husband was bringing in the luggage from the door on the side, a women with 2 big dogs, told him to stay back because her dogs were biters! Room was clean, bed ok, bathroom needs an upgrade. No orange juice next morning for breakfast, machine was broken. Pool closed for repairs. Walmart close to the hotel, walking distance.

Waiting all day for hot water --- if the hotel knew they were planning a hot water outage, it would have been nice to know when checking in, not the first morning of my business trip. Would have been nice if the hot water was back on 'later in the evening' -- but no -- so I can hope the 'new boiler 'is really going on through the night so that I don't wake up unable to shower for the second day in a row of my business trip. Desk clerk supposedly refunded one day of my stay here, but if this was going to be a prolonged outage I;d have moved to another motel.

We have tried to stay here twice. Both times there has been a problem with maintenance or other issues that our room was not available - not overbooked, but not able to use the room. One time the hotel paid for us to stay somewhere else, but the second time they did not - did not even help us find an alternative hotel. I guess it's true what they say - you get what you pay for. This hotel may be cheaper than other hotels in the Saratoga springs area, but the cost savings are not worth it if the rooms are not available.

Usually I can trust Trip Advisor... To say the rooms "need attention" is a dangerous understatement. Dirty, stained carpet, bed looked slept in, torn curtain over dirty window, pervasive smell of cigarettes, black hair in vanity (I'm blond) . Maybe not an issue if you pay 50. but close to 200. feels like a scam. I checked this site before I booked. Should have made it to the last review headed "run for your life".

I began taking notes as soon as we arrived because the lights went off and only the hallway emergency lights were lit. It was due to a thunderstorm, so we just waited for the backup generator to kick in. That didn't happen, so we waited until the utility company restored service. There are two ice machines: one on the second floor and one in the main lobby. Neither of them worked. You have to stay for more than two nights in order to receive housekeeping services, so make sure you hang your towels to dry. As I was looking for a socket for the iron (none near the closet where iron is stored), I found an overloaded multisocket device. I noticed a burn mark on both the socket cover and wall. Very scary. I unplugged the refrigerator and microwave in order to plug in the iron. The included breakfast was okay with the usual assortment of muffins, cereals and hot foods including bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. I did see a wafflemaker, but did not use it. I tried the orange juice (from a machine) and it was heavily diluted. The cranberry juice and apple juice were much better. The poor rating instead of the terrible rating is because of the staff members who were all very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't say RUN FOR YOUR LIFE as did another reviewer (my fave on here so far), but I would say be very carerful. By the way, Room 223 has the faulty multisocket.

There are many good things about this hotel, as follows: - the staff, all interactions are friendly and helpful. You get the impression the people working here really like their customers - the location is just a short drive from down town Saratoga and the races. Also they do a free shuttle bus to town / the races - breakfast is basic but it's ok, with a decent choice of cereals, bagels, fruit and coffee - the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean - the room we stayed in was quiet, no road noise The main area for improvement is in the decoration of the room. You don't have to look too hard to find stains on the walls, ceiling and carpet. A lot of the fittings are in a poor state of repair. I'm not an electrician but the plug socket containing the plugs for the microwave, fridge and table lamp, didn't look flush to the wall, not sure how safe this is? I would stay at this hotel again, but it would go from good to great if they did something about the decoration, furnishings and fittings in the rooms.

Our first impression from the outside was dated. Walking into the lobby smelled of cigarette smoke although you had to initial that you would not smoke. Staff was friendly but dressed very casual and almost misplaced. Stained carpet, peeling wall paper, phone did not work, main door to room did not close when leaving, bathroom door you had to lift to open and close, no hot water the morning we left. The pole in the closet was only high enough for a shirt to be hung had to use the ironing board to hang dresses and slacks. One night stay was enough and too long could not wait to leave. We asked for a price adjustment and they said they do not do that. Kind of scary, unsafe feeling and icky. Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt with new owners.
